Floyd Mayweather vs Manny Pacquiao !! Who Fought The Better Competition ??

Not really Maidana 2 weight champ fought and beat some of the best fighters from 140-47 compared to Margarito got his ass beat by every good fighter he's fought but one and the one he did beat whopped him in a rematch. Williams beat nobody at WW nobody at JMW an a close/bad decision vs Martinez at MW and again got his ass whopped in the rematch. Compared to Guerrero who was unbeaten 8yrs through 4 division.

It's really not as cut an dry as people think. During 06-08 what the hell did they do and who did they fight? None of them are going to the Hall but if your asking who's closer it's Maidana and Guerrero.

It's only 2 fighters from that WW period that's shown to be worth a damn and that's Mosley & Cotto the rest the Margaritos,Bertos,Quintana and such are on the lower rung. WW is hotter now than it was then

 

Lol only joyboys would claim that guerrero, ortiz and maidana are better WWs than Margo, Clottey, Williams and Cotto.

 

Are Maidana and Guerrero better than Cotto HELL NO but are they better than Margo, Clottey and Williams yea. Guerrero in a handful of fight's at WW has already beaten more top 5 WW's than Margarito did in a 17yr WW career, same as Maidana. You can't even point to a good win one of those guys had that didn't come with controversy. I didn't even mention Ortiz with retrospect he's on the same level as Tony and them a 1-hit wonder.

Guerrero's claim to fame at WW is a win over an overhyped berto. Same case with Ortiz. Maidana's claim to fame at WW is a win over an even more overhyped Broner. Both these guys are even fighting at 130/135 when floyd was fighting at WW years ago.

Comparing them with Margarito who has wins over cotto, martinez, clottey and cintron at WW and Clottey who has wins over Corrales, judah and a very close fight with Cotto, Guerrero, Ortiz and Maidana's campaign at WW are a joke.

 

Mayweather fights guys coming off some of the biggest wins of their careers. Pac fights guys coming off of drubbings.

At welter at the peak of the may vs pac hysteria they shared opponents like Oscar hatton cotto mosley and they won clearly so its push

id say at welter its close while at 154 Floyd has the advantage though manny fought once there

I favor Clottey over any of Floyd's WW opponents.

 

Anybody who doesn't believe Pacquiao has been taking on light touches recently are delusional. Pacquiao fans are in for a rude awakening May 2nd.

 

Recently Rios, post ktfo6, and Algieri, who was prep for floyd. But overall the quality of pacs resume is higher than floyds. Floyds has a solide, ver good resume, but pacs overall is better.
