How would that Marquez have done against Floyd? Or would the result still be the same?

I think Marquez will score more rounds than before. 3 rounds tops for me. But still Floyd wins this one.

    Same

    That Marquez was pretty old

Floyd would have forced him to come to him, whereas Manny came at him and Juan gave us one of the greatest displays of counterpunching we will ever see

Juan's best chance would have been around Manny 2, if the weights had been more even

Marquez of all Pacquiao fights and all walks of life loses to Mayweather. His style is simply not the right style to trouble someone like Mayweather in any way or form. Even Marquez himself admitted that there's no point challenging Mayweather again due to that reason. The only difference could be Mayweather pummeling Marquez different or worse. Clearly in that fight, Mayweather was pretty much using Marquez as a sparring partner to go the full 12 after 2 years of inactivity and was doing so blatantly.

I absolutely love and respect Marquez but that's just the harsh reality/truth. Styles make fights in this sport and always do so in the most brutal and merciless way.

A light WW version of Marquez vs the light WW version of Floyd is a tough fight. Above that Floyd wind a clear decision 10/10.

You mean the Light Welterweight Mayweather who was ultra fast, throws in combinations, constantly on the move and constantly keeping his opponent nervous and confused?, that Mayweather?. Marquez couldn't even handle the Mayweather that throws one punch at a time and goes to the ropes to buy time off. You must be on some good crack.

floyd's defense is built on defending an orthodox and marquez is a small one and a counter puncher at that.

marquez will win more rounds, 3-4-5 maybe.
