Floyd Mayweather vs Marvin Hagler

That was funny. Hagler was never even knocked DOWN in his career. He took the biggest shots of the biggest punchers of his era and was never wobbled let alone knocked down. No man knocks Hagler out. Marvin laughs at Floyd’s best shots.

 

Hagler smashes him to bits.

Not even the Pretty Boy version of Floyd has a chance.

 

This is just silly.

 

Floyd didn't move like Leonard. But Hagler was struggling with Duran and Mugabi, who weren't movers at all.

I think Floyd is more skilled, and the size disparity isn't what most are imagining it to be: they are close is size.

My concern for Floyd is that Hagler's era was much rougher and less refined. Floyd has the skills to beat Hagler, but I doubt he survives the shock to his system that comes with 80's era Boxing.

 

This does not end well for Floyd.

 

Mayweather isn't getting stopped. Hagler would outwork him to a decision.

 

Hagler is too much for PBF at 160.

 

Hagler is too much for Floyd full stop.

 

At 160 he would be not at 147 or other weights he couldn't make.

 

It's a compliment to Mayweather's level that you have to go this far up, to a middleweight killer and nailed on ATG to find somebody to reliably take care of a blown up welterweight who started out at 130 and was routinely outweighed by his opponents on fight night.

Next up, Felix Trinidad versus Joe Calzaghe at LHW - who takes that? How about RJJ v Holyfield?

 

I doubt Hagler could boil down to 147lbs so it's irrelevant.

He might be able to get to 154 but again I'm not aware of him fighting at that weight although not a tall Middle he was pretty shredded at 160lb.

So my statement stands that 15 round fighting Hagler is too much for Floyd.

 

So does mine at 160 Hagler was a career MW, which is why I picked Hagler to beat PBF there. So why are you arguing with me?
