There's been plenty of terrific fights in the past few years.

People should be less nostalgic about the 'good old days' which they did not experience and appreciate the good things we have now.

    No he wouldn't "FloydFan" :patsch

Look how much trouble Judah gave him early on with his fast hands and when he was actually attacking. That lay back and wait defensive style just won't work against SRR. He was too fast, put together too good of combos, had incredible stamina and power in both hands. Hoya almost beat Floyd, Castillo almost beat Floyd, Judah was beating him early. SRR is leagues above all of them, and would beat Floyd.

I disagree with that there may have been good fights in the past few years but like i said few and far in between. I think it all has to do with all the damn belts. i think there should be just one then you would get alot more good fights for sure.

Belts have little to do with having entertaining fights. A good fight is a good fight no matter if the belts are paper or not.

In this decade alone we have had:

    • The Barrera-Morales trilogy, one of the great trilogies of all-time.
    • The Gatti-Ward trilogy, which while I find overrated, still had a terrific first brawl and a pretty good 3rd fight.
    • The Pacquiao-Morales trilogy, which had 2 terrific competitive fights and a short explosive 3rd fight.
    • Corrales-Castillo fights. The first was a classic.
    • Trinidad-Vargas, chosen by The Ring as the best 154 lb. bout of all-time.
    • Sith-Monishpour
    • The two Vasquez-R. Marquez wars
And then you have had a whole bunch of other good fights such as:

    Mosley-De La Hoya I
    De La Hoya-Vargas
    Toney-Jirov
    Lewis-Klitschko
    Pacquiao-Marquez
    Taylor-Pavlik
    Cotto-Judah
    Cotto-Torres
    Augustus-Ward
    Ward-A. Diaz
    Pavlik-Miranda
    Ward-Neary
    Trinidad-Reid
    Vargas-Quartey
    Trinidad-Mayorga
    Echols-Brewer
    Cintron-Estrada
    Katsidis-Amonsot
    Barrera-Marquez
    Morales-Diaz

The list goes on and on.

Good fights are nothing rare in boxing.

Did you notice how almost half of your list are fights on this year alone. Not counting this year. whens the last time we had a year with so many exciting fights just in that single year???

I listed about 35 fights, and 8 of them are from 2007.

    That is less than one-fourth.

Why don't you answer that, since you know so much about the old days and find it was better, then. This has been one of the greatest years in boxing, ever. Just think of all the mega-fights.

Edit: Why are you even crying? It's been a great year, go ahead and dry your tears.

2007 is a terrific year, everyone knows that.

Where you're off-base is claiming that good fights are rare. You may have missed them but there have been plenty of entertaining fights in the past few years, not just in 2007.
