Ok OK OK Here me out. I'm actually curious about this. Mayorga didn't give 2 shits who he was fighting and the mind games, and he did have a title at 154 at one point. Just curious what everyone's thoughts would be on this. Would this basically be the Mayweather vs Maidana at 154 with less out put from Mayorga and more smacktalk? That's how I could see it, for at least until Mayweather gets his timing.

But really though, I got curious about this and want to hear everyone's thoughts on how this hypothetical fight would turn out if given 12 rounds at 154 pounds. I don't see anyone talk about this, and maybe this is for the best. Mayweather could just outbox Mayorga and just matador him for 12, OR... Vernon Forrest 2.0 can happen? (Yes, I know Forrest and Mayweather have drastically different fighting styles, but the point of being the paradox of unrealized power is still standing here. Cause if memory still serves me correct, people thought about Forrest "just" outboxing Mayorga just like he did with Sugar Shane Mosley, but in less than 3 rounds, the power dynamic shifted dramatically.) So could lightning strike twice?

It's a very interesting fight. I'm sure the May Jr fanatics
would say May Jr, wins with one hand tied behind his
    back and blindfolded.
May Jr. should win. but it would be a very, very tough
    fight for him.
Look at 3 of May Jr's tougher fights. Castillo, Baldimir
and Maidana , all were very similar to Mayorga in style
and physicality. The difference was Mayorga was naturally
bigger with heavier hands and faster.
Tough fight for May Jr., One I see him avoiding if
this fight is after Mayorga's destruction of Forrest.
Too high a risk, a good possibility of a upset loss.

I've watched many fights, I've never figured out how Mayorga beat a superior fighter like Forrest. It only goes to show you gotta be ready when the bell rings. Mayorga never beats Floyd at any weight.

I watched your YouTube channel a little, I like your commentary you have fun, keep it up lad. About this fight I am not sure, It's not something I can picture as anything but a Mayweather win. However I think it'd be tough and it could be plausible for Mayorga to impress us more then most would be comfortable admitting.

Mayweather would make him look like a fool.

    Possibly stope him aswell.

Totally unfavorable march up for Mayorga.

Mayweather would always stick to his gameplan, i can't see him making the same mistake as Vernon

Before Mayorga met Trinidad at 160 he arguably should of been the undisputed 147 pound champ, that Cory Spinks decision was horrendous. Mayorga for all of his faults was an extremely dangerous and unorthodox fighter with an inhuman chin and destructive power in his prime at 147. This will be one of Floyd’s toughest fights where Mayorga is gonna win some rounds. If Floyd **** his pants at the thought of Margarito then he’d need a diaper for Mayorga pre Trinidad.

Mayweather would beat him silly and then stop him late.

Maidana gave Mayweather issues, it's not out of the realms Mayorga gives Mayweather some problems, especially at 154 with his wild style. I think people forget Mayorga was pretty dangerous in his short prime that he had.

Would Mayorga win ? No but his wild style might give Mayweather few issues like Maidana did.

He’s not stopping Mayorga, stop it, who the hell has Floyd stopped at 147 to lead you to believe that he would stop a fighter like Mayorga who willingly ate punches from Trinidad and Forrest and asked for more.

I'd pay for it. You have to obviously make Mayweather a big favorite but Mayorga would make it entertaining all the way from the fight announcement to post fight interviews

He walked down Shane Mosley and Shane knocked out Mayorga twice. It's so weird how a guy like Mayweather could walk down Mosley and make Canelo gunshy while having no power.

The 2 fights Mayorga had with Mosley happened in 2008 and 2015 at 154 and 160 when both fighters were shot to ****. I don't see how it holds any relevancy to the starting topic. It took 234442323434 flush punches from Trinidad at 160 for a prime Mayorga to finally be stopped.

This was Mayorga in his prime in 2003 before getting ruined in the Trinidad fight. Spinks in his prime was basically a southpaw version of Mayweather with a china chin. Mayorga is going to make Floyd work in a hypothetical fight and win rounds, it isn't going to be an easy night for him at all. 115-113 type of decision.

I would've loved to have seen this for Mayorga's pocket, id love to see him get paid! He outbrawled the great Vernon Forrest twice.

The first time I watched Mayorga beg for seconds from Trinidad, I knew no matter how much he annoyed me as a man he’d never lose my respect as a fighter.
