Hattons overration grows with time. Not on a Calzaghe level but Floyd KO's him at any point in their careers.
Floyd wins easier than he did in 07 (8 oz gloves). Hatton's dad turned this fight down said his son "wasn't ready".
I don't see hatton winning to floyd at any weight nor at any time. Floyd is simply too much for hatton. Not a shame though.
Even though he only campaigned at the weight class for a brief period of time, I think FLoyd was at his best at 140 lbs, which is ironic because it was the only weight class he didn't pick up a lineal championship in. I think at that weight class, he's a tough out for anyone in the history of the sport. All his attributes were at their maximal peak between 2004-05.
With or without Cortez? Their fight was highly competitive, I'm not blaming Floyd, but I really do question why in all these high profile fights Floyd always gets the ref/judges to side with him. I think it's a close fight Hatton a little younger, less wear and tear on his body. Maybe he doesn't break in the later rounds and makes a push. Everyone saying that lighter Floyd does this/that but it might make him a little less durable as well. Their fight was a good one and I'm sure at 140 a couple years earlier it would have been better.
If Parriss isn't the ref, Mayweather more convincingly at 140 where he was much stronger than at 147.
