I think Hatton has the edge stylistically/mentally, but Mayweather looked so strong against DLH, plus he's freaking PBF...

Ah, I'll just vote with the heart: Hatton by close decision.

Mayweather wins this fight by UD 116-112, 118-110, 115-113

Hatton does surprisingly well early on because of his own speed and tenacity. By the 6th round the counters will begin to take there toll and Mayweather will begin to seperate himself. No knockdowns scored and by the 8th round cuts and lacerations will be visible on Hatton and will threaten the outcome the rest of the way. Between the two there power is even. But Mayweathers straighter and shorter punches will score between hattons sometimes sloppy form. Will be competitive the whole way through. But Mayweathers handspeed, countering ability will be the difference. He doesnt move as much as he used to but is becoming a better midrange to inside fight(like James Toney).

PBF by wide UD or possibly a late TKO.

I just can't see Hatton hitting floyd enough to get a decison. I gotta go with the standard prediction when PBF is fighting. Floyd by UD

I agree that PBF will win, but please "no punch". Hatton is not a huge puncher but if he had "no punch" he would not have starched Maussa, stopped Castillo, broken Tsyzus jaw and won as many fights as he has by stoppage.

When did Hatton ever KO anyone decent with a head shot?? This ain't going to happen, if Hatton wins it'll be a body shot that does it....but that ain't happening either. DLH had a better chance than Hatton does - Floyd by mid round stoppage, in a cakewalk :yep

Floyd will win by UD simply because he will be able to leap in and hit Hatton because of Hattons non-stop pressure but Hatton doesnt throw anything while comming in and thats going to hurt his chances because it will allow Floyd to dictate the pace of the fight. If Hatton can throw while comming in the fight will be a lot closer but if he just tries bullying in and only throwing in close quarters then he will lose be a wide margin because PBF can pick his shots and he is extrememly accurate when he doesnt have to fight through a jab...see Castillo and Hoya...good Jabs caused significant problems.

To be honest, I think this is the toughest fight of Floyd's career...to me, it's a pickem fight...Hatton has a perfectly complementary style to Floyd's backfooting...Hatton's footspeed will keep this fight busy...

I think both fighters do the sport a great service as far as their elite skills, so while i like Hatton as a fighter a bit more, I hope it's just a matter of the best man winning.

That being said, I give the minor edge to Floyd, but I'll go out on a limb and say Hatton wins a UD.

holding and hitting is not a skill it is a tactic that ricky has been allowed to get away with because of the money of a floyd fight.

If he mentioned skills, why did you bring up a tactic then? No one else did:deal:hi:

I've said Floyd by UD early on, but I pick Floyd to win by late stoppage, due to Ricky bleeding badly. TKO indeed :yep

I wish that Mayweather chose not to compete in this season's Dancing with the Stars. It's not really fair to Hatton.

Should Hatton pull off the upset and beat Floyd the critics will point to his involvement in the TV program. If Floyd defeats Hatton it will look really bad on Hatton since Mayweather had less time to train for the fight and still won.

I think PBF will win. But if he stops Hatton, I will be surprised.

Carlos Maussa has a good chin and he was starched something horrible.

Floyd ud 116-112. Hattons good footwork will often put him in position to harass Floyd and he has clearly underated skillls. But this is clearly the best fighter of his generation so I'm sure he'll sort out any problems Hatton poses.
