But Jane the problem and its a huge Problem I have with JMP's so called breakdown of the fight is that. He compared Durans Boxing skills with Hatton and Chavez. Now if some of these so called fans have watched Duran like I have. You would know he could fight on the inside like them two but he was better on the inside aswell as being better all round them both them men. I mean if you were really going to watch Duran go watch Duran vs Leonard 1 and tell me how Floyd would go then. As people soon forget that Mayweather had problems with a Pressure fighter of Castillo' and then you factor in that Duran fought very very well against a Prime Marvin Hagler at Middleweight someone who would Murder Floyd. Duran is getting No Love but from mostly from the people who post here that have never watched a fight before 2000.:deal
Now this is for the average fans that dont know ****. This is Duran against one of the greatest Welterweights to ever put on the Gloves. And I rate Ray Leonard higher than I do Floyd as do most. This is a Prime Ray Leonard aswell. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pHcPTauvU8c[/ame]
I think you misread his post. He is being sarcastic in his criminal underestimation of Duran. That's why I laughed.. it's meant to be humorous.
I've yet to read anyone in this thread making a counter argument on why Duran would win. Here's my honest take on Duran/Leonard I. IT WAS A GODDAMN FLUKE!!!!!!!! Why? Because there is no way in hell the 2nd fight should have went down like it did if Duran really was on Leonard's level. It is well known that Duran got into Leonard's head in the buildup and instead of fighting his fight he tried to prove something by beating Duran at his own game. Basically falling right into his hands. It was an all-time dumb move and he knew it. 2nd fight he smartened up and did what he did what he was suppose to do in the first place. BOX! And he won easily. Did Duran get beaten up? Nope. Did he attempt to adjust? Nope. He just said "**** it" and quit. Now Leonard may have fell for it but Floyd sure wouldn't. Floyd doesn't fall for mind games. He does what he needs to do to win. If that means putting on a boxing clinic to a chorus of boos from the crowd then so be it.
