This post was worth my time :good Thank you.

Frankly it's pretty simple in my book.

Maidana gave Mayweather hell, and Duran is levels above Maidana. He's also (iirc) the bigger guy. While I agree that Mayweather could make it interesting for a while, a ferocious body puncher like Duran will cut him off, slow him down, and either stop him late or win the late rounds widely enough so that a UD would be emphatic.

People point to the Leonard fights as hope for Mayweather vs Duran. But people also forget that Leonard could hit hard enough to gain the respect of Marvellous Marvin Hagler. Leonard had some big artillery to bring to the party. Mayweather's .22 rifle of a punch is going to do zero to an ATG chin like Duran's, and he's basically going to get chased down and brutalized.

    :yep

I'd like to hear MVC's take on Mayweather vs Lennox Lewis. I'm betting Mayweather stops him on cuts in the 15th after making him miss all night :think

Im a Duran fan but I think Mayweather takes him. I think it would be similar to the Benitiez fight. The only 2 guys I think could beat Floyd from the fab 4 are Leonard and Hearns.

To a certain extent, Floyd struggling with Castillo and Maidana in their first meetings was because Floyd made the mistake of trying to beat them at their own game. This is the same mistake Ray Leonard made against Duran in their first fight. Both Ray and Floyd fought differently in the rematches and made it much easier.

I will say that if Floyd fought against Duran they way he fought against Maidana and Castillo in the first fights, he would get beat up. If however he gets on his bike and potshots and uses his defense and his legs, he frustrates Duran just like Leonard did.

If Floyd fights Duran with a hand injury like in Castillo 1, he also loses. He only beats Duran on points if he is 100% healthy and fights a smart fight.

Floyd did not try to beat Maidana at his own game. That's just a ridiculous statement. Floyd did not try to be the aggressor and throw hurtfull punches like Maidana did. Floyd shelled up, hugged and pot shooted like he always does.

And all this Leonard fought Duran's fight is also bull****. Leonard even admits Duran forced him to fight and there was nothing he could do about it, and before the Duran fights Leonard was not known to fight the way he did in the second fight against Duran. Leonard basically fought the way he always did in Montreal but got out fought by the better man on the night. The second fight went they way it did due to Duran's poorer conditioning as much as a change of game plan from team Leonard. Even Leonard admits Duran was slower and less powerful than he was in Montreal and they knew that would be the case before the fight. It's all documented so I don't understand why people keep spouting that garbage. Both of them at their peak condition would always be a tough close fight. No way Montreal Duran quits against the Leonard of the second fight. Anybody who thinks he would doesn't know **** all about boxing.

Duran beats the **** out of Mayweather but he's never fight him at his best he would say things like well he has Ray Leaonard problems or fightbHagler first then fight me he find every excuse in the book not to fight him then would most likely challenge the one William Joppy beat.

duran too slow flat footed to beat money. I think leonard could get him simply because good right hand with power could knock floyd out. however if it went to decision floyd out points him just too damn slick.

Duran was not slow and flat footed and if your looking for a good right hand with power to beat Floyd then Duran fits that description better than Leonard.
