8 rounder. 23 foot ring. How does this go down? I want the most rational, well-reasoned, in depth and even-headed responses you can conjure.
Floyd is 50-0. Marciano 49-0. Now you can say whatever, floyd aint never fight no ezzard charles, no jersey joe whatever, i dont care. Thems numbers. And Floyd's are better. Therefore i take Floyd by MD.
Well since its an 8 rounder you have to favor the smaller, faster man. He has only to make it to the final bell and this is much easier to do than avoiding getting bombed out over 12 or 15. Floyd takes advantage of the strange, uneven 23 foot ring. Rocky chases him in a classic bull vs matador matchup. He landa a few body blows but is unable to land flush upstairs. At some point Floyd confuses rocky by intentionally cornering himself in the odd angled 23rd foot corner of the ring. Rocky is simply unable to make adjustments seeing as he literally has no room to punch. Like the rope a dope, mayweather is able to retreat to a place that is normally a death sentence against a big puncher. Since he has a significant 4' reach advantage he simply paws with his lead while titlted to the side against the corner in his tight Philly shell. Sticking his left out allows him to know exactly when rocky will be in range and he adjusts accordingly. He jabs and grabs his way to a lopsided points win.
Marciano's too big, rough, and relentless for Floyd. Eventually mauls him and stops him through an accumulation of punishment. I think a fresh Mayweather avoids all of Marciano's bombs with the greatest of ease, and even looks surprisingly strong early on, but I don't see him having the strength and durability to avoid engaging with Marciano altogether or to keep him off of him. Mayweather starts noticeably wearing down after a few rounds and eventually succumbs.
Can I have some of what you're having. DMs are open ty But I don't feel like it Marciano KO there, that cost a lot of effort
