This is a logical fight and one I would love to see as a classic...Mosely still has some fight left in him and is fresh off an impressive win over Margarito. Floyd is a great fighter but so is Shane and Floyds size. Floyd is not looking for a tough fight and Shane would give him one and possibly upset Floyd....These are 2 potentialy great fighters, in this era and in the same weight class...time is now......Will Floyd's legasy be tarnished if he continues to avoid Shane....you can not pick and chose, you must fight the BEST to be the Best....Thoughts on this

He has persued fights with him before. However, I too believe that this fight needs to happen, NOW. Lets see a real fight, Two of the best of our era, can't think of a more appealing fight for me right now. I would spend tons of money too see this.

I've though for a while now that Mayweather is too fundamentally sound, and would outbox Mosley. Mosley is the foil to most boxer-punchers because of his speed, and many aggressors with his speed and movement. Mosley is susceptible to boxers with equal to greater technique. I am also of the opinion that the failed attempt to face Zab Judah worked to Mosley's benefit. I believe Judah would have been a serious problem for Mosley, and Judah's fragile mental state is the only thing Shane would have going for him.

Mosley has a great will, good speed, and a decent punch. I can't rule him out completely.

    Floyd UD

I want the fight to happen. I feel Mosley would win, but thinking logically I can see why he would have to be the underdog. I think it would be a good fight, and a good opportunity for either fighter to really prove themself.

The fight should only happen after Mayweather beats the Pac/Cotto winner IMO..... THEN give us Mayweather-Mosely, assuming Shane hasnt had his ass handed to him by someone like Berto by then of course.

Mosley's going to have a tough time getting close to Floyd, but he will be trying a lot harder. That will mean he will be taking a lot punches. Floyd stops him late on cuts or easy decision. Mosley's almost 39, he cant turn the clock back much longer.

    Implying Mosley cuts.

Anyway, bodyshots would be Shane's greatest tool here.

He bent Margarito in half with the first one he threw, and that set the entire tone of the fight once Antonio knew Shane could hurt him.

If Shane hit Mayweather with a shot like that it could very well make Mayweather fight a even more negative fight then normal.

Lets not forget the success Castillo had going to Mayweather's body, If I'm remembering correctly Floyd ended up with broken ribs in their first fight... Castillo isn't exactly a speed demon but his body attack and pressure won him that fight in many peoples opinion.

Mayweather is a superb boxer , and I was not surpised by how easily he handled Marquez ,but I dont think he is in any hurry to fight Shane,Mosley matches him physically and though slightly past his prime still has a lot left ,including very good hand speed. It would be a tough fight for PBF ,one he would win ,imo ,but very hard.

Lets not forget what happen in the second fight with Castillo, or the fact that Mayweather was younger and smaller. Mosley wont be fighting a straight ahead one dimensional full steam ahead slugger either. He would be fighting a complete fighter that is very difficult and hard to hit cleanly. I implied he would be stopped late because I dont believe Mayweather would knock him out, but bust him up badly. Mosley is courageous and will be coming forward a lot more than Marquez, therefore taking a bigger beating. Who would have thunk Mosley would stop Margarito? Same scenario really, not stylistically, but as far as heart. I believe you are underestimating Mayweathers skills. Mosley is a good fighter, but hes old, and doesnt have the defensive capabilities of Floyd.

PBF, his defense is too good. He is faster at this stage too, no doubt.

Shane is open for counters. He looked great against Margo but that is a totally different style match up. Shane cant outbox PBF, he can only try to swarm him but I think PBF is too slick even when defending against combinations.

Me either. I've said it before and I'll say it again and again. Shane's blend of speed, power and will will keep Mayw. and probably :sillyPAC FROM FIGHTING HIM UNTIL HE IS TRULY OVER THE HILL . Mosely by ko over them both.

Mosley will just get picked apart, in terms of footwork and defense Mosley just can't compete. If Floyd lays on the ropes it makes it close but even then I see him outboxing Shane.

I see it happening if Arrum steers clear of Mayweather in Sep/Oct, but thats quite a big if
