Who would have won? Call me crazy, but I think Crawford would have given Floyd some trouble, not so much because of his speed, but because of his ring IQ. I think he's one of the few fighters who could compete with Floyd in a pure boxing match.
Sure he'd give Floyd trouble. Hatton had early success versus Floyd. As did Judah. But there's nothing I've seen from TC that allows me to believe he's ready now for a prime FMjr. When he actually faces a top WW, i'll revisit.
And there is nothing ive seen from FlIVd that tells me how he would do against such a dynamic and skilled fighter in his prime like Crawford.
One of the two is MUCH more proven though. But lets look at TC. He's done great at lower weight. And yet, for a three division champ or titlist, his resume is incredibly thin. By the time Floyd was a three division champ, his resume shat all over what TC has. Anyway, that being said, when TC faces his first top level WW, I might revisit this topic.
Crawford would be another of the 3 opponents (pep, De la Hoya, Gregor) that Mayweather has faced with longer reach than him. Crawford would also be heavier, slightly taller, and with a power advantage. Those traits alone would give Mayweather trouble.
