I agree that Mayweather is stronger than people give him credit for. He hits hard enough to get his respect and that`s all he needs. I also agree that Norris has a suspect chin.

Where I disagree is that I don`t believe Terry has to walk through Floyd. He can box with him enough to make Mayweather open up. Floyd would be forced to fight at a faster pace than he wants to.

The only other guy Mayweather has faced that could match his speed was Zab Judah and he got dropped by Zab.

He also said Nunn deserved the decision against Rocchigiani, which if you've seen it, is even more ridiculous than the claim that De La Hoya beat Mayweather.

This is not a good fight for PBF ... Norris has great speed, good pop on his shots, and a busy work rate. His size and speed would give Floyd, problems. And I think he`d land consistently enough to hurt Floyd. I don`t think Floyd has enough on his shots (at 154) to trouble Norris` shaky chin. Norris 12 UD maybe late stoppage. Styles make fights, Norris` style and size are too much for PBF to over
    come ...

Good post, but SRL was shot, not even merely past prime.

A prime Saul Alvarez was better than anybody Norris ever beat at Jr. Middle.

The speed and all around boxing ability of Norris would give Floyd HUGE problems. Floyd is simply not busy enough to win this matchup against a bigger, stronger, faster boxer with a far superior offensive output. Norris UD 12.

I'd pick Mayweather at that weight basically because he was better than him. There's not much more to it. Norris wouldn't come out guns blazing and volume punching. He'd have his punch output severely cut down by Mayweather micromanaging his footwork and spacing. Same as with everyone else.

Mayweather would have about four inches of reach on him. The size difference would be negligible. Norris would not set the pace. He'd be forced to make the most of having his punch output halved and his connect percentage lowered. Just like everyone else Mayweather fought.
