Floyd mayweather vs The Welterweight Division

The funny thing is how the AM nuthuggers are calling Floyd's fans nuthuggers and vice versa. None of those guys can beat Floyd imo. Deep down you guys know this. I can see some of you picking Williams to beat Floyd. That is a fascinating fight style wise. I can see some of you picking AM also. But deep down you know Floyd would pull a hat out of a rabbit and win. Floyd has the 4 too's in his favor. Too fast, too defensive, too smart, and too experienced.

all would give floyd a tougher fight than everyone hes faced at 147.

 

WW is full of sharks. Floyd may claim he was king of the WW division, others may claim it but he wasn't. he was #1 but he didn't fight any of the top Welters, he ignored them and fought Oscar, Hatton then retired. That all being said; I think he fairs as follows:
1.Antonio Magarito - Floyd wins a wide UD
2.Paul Williams - Floyd wins a UD, Williams is open. If Quintana outboxed him, Floyd would clown him
3.Migel Cotto - Close fight. Cotto may take a Decision, but I wouldn't bet on it
4.Joshua Clottey - Floyd UD
5.Shane Mosley - Floyd UD, 8-4 or 9-3
6.Andre Berto - Floyd by TKO late
7.Manny Pacquiao - Floyd TKO Mid to Late rounds

Those would be my predictions. Williams could very well beat him and it wouldn't shock me, if Margo beat him it wouldn't shock me, even Clottey. But if Mosley, Berto or Pac won I'd be astonished.

Given the depth and talent of that WW list, and the fact that Floyd could very well fight at 140 still speaks wonders for the guys talent and ability.

PBF can never keep AM honest, which is why Margo can walk through PBF and destroy that WW phoney.

He wouldn't catch him, it would be a boring fight but Floyd would pot shot himself to a win.

 

In hindsight we can compare Baldomir and Judah with Margo, PW and Cotto. To be totally honest there is no comparison. PBF knew that, he is a boxer who knows a lot more about boxing than most of us. He saw an opportunity to fight guys who were perceived as good, but fundamentally tomato cans compared with the other 3 above-mentioned fighters. He beat them, put his hands in the air like he had achieved something.

Get this straight. PBF has beaten no-one at WW. Cotto squashed Judah who was never the same after KT made him do the chicken dance (at LWW mind you). Judah beat the light-punching Spinks to get the unified title. Baldomir beat Judah. So what, Baldo, with no disrespect to a man with heart and pride, can't be compared to the three names in question.

We can see with hindsight that PBF hasn't fought the real competition at WW or even LWW. Let us not pretend that he has done anything at those weights. Logically, you definitely can't assume that, otherwise you might say that Pac would KTFO Wlad. Sounds illogical doesn't it?
