How do you read through all my posts like some kind of fan girl and still miss THAT I HAVE ALREADY POSTED THREE TIMES the style matchup of Floyd's timing and accuracy could certainly overcome Hearns reach and power over the course of a 12 or even 15 round right, particularly for a guy that has proven to get gassed down the stretch in big fights and be wide open for shots like he did against Leonard, this could play well into to Mayweather's hands who typically gets stronger and even more accurate after rounds 9....of course people like you love to claim Floyd is a 'runner' so why couldn't he just run anytime he was in trouble ??(even though he wouldn't)...
Mix in Floyd's superior rope a dope tactics and the fact that EVERY opponent he faces has reduced punch outputs (because they are afraid of getting timed and tagged.. evidently professional fighters seem to think Floyd hits plenty better than you give him credit for)
Yes because of all those STYLISTIC ATRIBUTES Floyd brings meshed up against Hearns STYLISTIC VULNARABILITIES like getting gassed and eating clean punches, I most certainly believe Floyd is capable of defeating Hearns, particularly at 147...
Did you need a round by round blow by blow breakdown??

Not sure if you've ever heard of Manny Pacquiao but he is well renouned as an offensive juggernaut, in fact he's still fighting I believe top P4P guys, anyways I would hold his legacy up next to any of the names you mentioned above, even at 147, and Floyd took him to task with virtual ease... So youre wrong about never facing offensive powerhouse at that weight

Pacquiao was past his prime and had an injured shoulder when he boxed Mayweather.

Leonard and Duran are well above Pacquiao (and Mayweather) all-time.

    Ha!

    More absolute waffle.

    It’s just cringeworthy.

You haven’t even tried to offer an actual breakdown.

You’ve just made more blanket statements.

    You have given nothing.

Do you seriously think that by saying that Floyd would have won with his timing and accuracy, that that constitutes as an actual breakdown?

Floyd’s timing and accuracy would have overcome Hearns’ height, reach, speed and power?

    Ha!

    What a joke.

Play the fight out in your mind.

It doesn’t matter how accurate Floyd was. He didn’t have the power to have pressured, hurt and tired out Hearns.

To have won the majority of the rounds in order to have won a decision, he’d have have needed to have fought in an offensive manner, where he’d needed to have gotten inside of a 78” reach, where he’d also have needed to have avoided the jab and the huge right hand.

    You are absolutely deluded.

Possessing great timing and accuracy, couldn’t have just negated every attribute and advantage that Hearns had over him.

Timing and accuracy are only 2 factors out of many others.

Just reread your posts to see how ridiculous you sound.

Hearns was 6’1 and Floyd was 5’8.

Hearns’ reach was 78” compared to Floyd’s at 72”

Hearns had great speed, a laser like jab and a detonator in his right hand.

Floyd was a safety first fighter with hand issues.

Yet in your mind, Floyd could have overcome all of those obstacles, because:

    1. He had great timing.

    2. He had great accuracy.

    Guess what?

Hearns also had great timing and great accuracy, along with everything else that we’ve all noted.

Yes, many guys had reduced shot output against Floyd because they were scared of getting countered by Floyd’s speed. I agree with you 100%. I watched his entire career. But that’s because Floyd had a reach advantage over most of his opponents, a speed advantage over most of his opponents, and he had superior technical ability. But we’re not looking at slower and lesser B and C class guys. We’re looking here at a prime ATG in Thomas Hearns, who had great technical ability, superior size, great speed and monster power.

Floyd couldn’t have pot shotted Hearns like he did with many other of his opponents.

Hearns wouldn’t have been out of his depth like so many of Floyd’s challenges.

Hearns would have been Floyd’s toughest test, and he’d have had huge confidence, knowing full well that he was taller, longer, bigger and significantly more powerful.

It wouldn’t have been a shot Mosley, or a young, naive Canelo that Floyd would have been facing.

It would have been the freak of nature that was Thomas Hearns. A prime Thomas Hearns.

    You’re too much.

You better go out and buy a comic book.

You can’t even compare a small, faded and injured version of Manny Pacquiao, with a prime version of Ray Leonard.

JMM handled Manny with ease before Floyd finally fought him whilst being on PEDS.

    It means nothing.

Floyd never saw fighters like Leonard and Hearns in his career.

It’s not about holding Manny’s overall legacy up.

It’s about looking at the stylistic match ups and the specific versions of the fighters who Hearns and Floyd fought.

Yes, you could claim that Manny ranks higher than Hearns if you wanted to. But it’s irrelevant. Because the only thing relevant here, is that the version of Leonard who Hearns fought, was by far superior and more dangerous than the version of Manny who Floyd fought.

Again, stop trying to compare statistics and apply the relevant context that is needed instead.

Not sure on which kind of planet you are living, The stylistic ingredients of this particular style match up favour Hearns. Tommy has a huge reach advantage and height advantage. He knows how to fight tall, good speed and an elite jab. The right hand would keep the safety first Floyd at bay.

Floyd, who is not an aggressive fighter by nature anyway, would have major trouble closing the gap which he would probably only try to do later in the fight as his safety first approach would see him put on his track shoes for the first several rounds. You just can see Hearns piling up the points with his jab (like he did against Leonard and Benitez, other master boxers).

Even on the rare occasions Floyd manages to close the gap, he just does not have the fire power to stop Hearns. Just think about who did Floyd knock out at welter?

A bad styles match up for Floyd. His defensive skills might see him last the distance though. That is if he fights that defensive fight I expect him to fight.

Are you one of the voters who’s chosen Floyd to have won by knockout?

Mayweather would have to make a decision. He's never been outboxed before and this would be a new experience. Then he can decide to take some chances or be comfortable going the distance. I believe Floyd could last the distance if he just fights to survive.
9-3 Hearns is the most likely result.

But Floyd beat Ricky Hatton? He was the Hitman too. If he could beat one I don't see why he couldn't beat this one. After all it's only a nickname. $ proved size doesn't bother him recently vs Logan Paul.
+ evolution, nicer trunks, tweet. I don't see Hearns getting out of the dressing room here. Floyd too sophisticated.

Manny is a completely different offensive fighter then Hearns!
Hearns is 6'1 with a 78 inch reach. Hearns also had ONE punch power at 147.
    Horrible comparison.
And another thing who said Hearne has to be the aggressor?
He could move side to side and pop that jab if he wanted to.
