Who would win this fight at 147lbs? Could Mayweather Jr avoid Hearns powerful right hand the whole fight? Could he out point Hearns?
Any thoughts on this match up?

I think Hearns would knock Floyd out personally.

lol this is a ****ing mismatch, he would outbox Floyd EASILY and knock him out. Floyd really isn't a welter, he has never even beaten a top welter in his life, why would you match him up against one of the best welters ever?

Tommy is a really good boxer. But he loved to brawl. Mayweather loses if he tries to box, and if he drags Hearns into a brawl it's over early for him. He's not Hagler.

What's your point? What strategy could Hearns possible employ that would cause him to lose, outside of taping an arm behind his back or something of that extreme?

good point, remember when Leonard was getting his ass out boxed the whole fight and finally he forced himself inside on Dundee's advice and stopped Hearns? Same with Hagler. But Mayweather doesn't have that kind of punching power

Mayweather doesn't have the punching power or the finishing ability of a Sugar Ray Leonard.

Hearns wins this fight, either by out boxing the smaller Mayweather, or knocking him out with his ferocious punching power. I envision Mayweather seeing the 12th, personally.

Can you think of an any worse opponent to put Floyd in with?

Hearns UD..too much reach and size and I can't see Floyd finding away inside or being effective trying to counterpunch.

Tommy could be over aggressive sometimes...and Floyd Mayweather has to be top 3 when it comes to defense of all time stature and his chin is very underrated Floyd can take a punch and he wouldn't take to many of them.

Point is if Tommy tries to take the fight to Floyd he could possibly lose you have to admit Floyd is one of those fighters who can take the other fighters best punch away so Tommy would have to outbox Floyd from a distance using his jab and timing his right hand...if he tries to fight Floyd on the inside he could possibly lose this fight!
