How does Floyd do against someone quick like Bradley? TBH, I don't see Bradley being much of a challenge.
Pimp, you keep saying this same retort on every floyd vs "pick a name" thread and end of the day floyd is getting knocked teeth of his mouth and edging very close decisions against glorified journeyman Maidana. yeah i maybe under influence of beer but thus came in to my mind. Low skilled windmilling journeyman almost got the better of master of stylistics pbf.
Duran, Chavez, Hearns, Pryor smash the hell out of Mayweather. Can you imagine the beatdown Hearns would have given Mayweather? Floyd's face would have never looked the same. Words can't describe how much of an ass kicking Hearns would have given Floyd.
Bradley was one of the guys I would have wished Floyd would have fought before his retirement, and he might have done some good work, but Floyd is just on another level to Bradley. It would have been another UD for Floyd.
PBF was 37 years old he wasn't prime PBF got cut early in that fight and still won. PBF wasn't prime against Maidana with that said prime or not he still would have always given PBF a hard fight.
I don't know about Duran. Floyd can do the same thing Leonard did in the second fight, in fact, he's a lot better at it. Floyd's the favorite for me in that fight. If you look at Hearns vs Benitez, Hearns had a hell of time hitting Benitez, but he kept him very gun shy. I do agree that Floyd would lose that one. He would spend the whole fight in defense mode and his reach advantage would be negated. He wouldn't be able to potshot and lose a wide decision or maybe even get KO'd because all Hearns needs is one shot. I find Pryor overrated but he could be a problem with his workload, stamina and chin. He never fought a technician like Floyd though. This is a toss up. Chavez? Hard to tell. Floyd strugged with Maidana who is not even close to Chavez. Yes Floyd was old, but again, Maidana is no Chavez. Chavez's pressure will be a problem for Floyd if Castillo's and Maidana's were. I think Floyd potshots him to a points decision though. Floyd would be the favorite.
Floyd can't do the same thing to Duran did that Leonard did in the 2nd fight. First, Duran was not fat and out of shape at 135. Second, Floyd is way smaller than Leonard. Third, Leonard punches way harder than Floyd.
Unconventional fighters like Maidana often give technical fighters problems, due to their unconventional ways. I fail to see how fights with Maidana, when he was 37 years old, have much bearing on how other fights would play out against fighters that fight nothing like him.
Man Duran has like 5 wins better than Floyd's best win. Leonard, De Jesus, Buchanan, Marcel, Polamino. That's insane. Floyd's best win is Castillo. Duran takes a large turd on Floyds resume. Roberto Duran was 19 years old, green as hell and beat ATG Ernesto Marcel the man who would later beat prime Arguello. There are levels to this stuff man. Levels.
I think you're on to something, but perhaps it's more simple. A pressure fighter has the style advantage over a pure boxer.
