Well Mayorga showed his mental weakness. He drew him into a fight that he shouldnt have been in.. He did it twice really and that did show a mental weakness on his part, but Floyd could never fight or have the power that Mayorga had. Mayorga was raw and stupid but the guy had power. If he got you to fight his fight, his style was effective.

Quartey was way more past it than Shane. Quartey hadn't done anything in years and years leading up to the Forrest match, and hasn't done anything since. It also wasn't in his best weight class. And an old Quartey is not better going forward than Floyd. Floyd looked great doing it against Mosley.

Guerrero>Old Quartey. And no, prime Quartey would not be better than anyone on Floyd's resume. He'd just be in the mix somewhere.

That's a ridiculously silly statement there and right now I think your bias for Floyd is getting in your way of rational debate. It's evident from the Forrest performance that Quartey is a great fighter and not only that he beat top 10 rated ex champ Verno Phillips in his prior fight.

Quartey went onto give a much bigger Winky Wright a pretty good run for his money the next fight after this. The same Wright who dominated Trinidad and deserved the decision over Taylor for the middleweight title.

Guerrero better than that version Quartey I can't believe that crapola :patsch

Who did Quartey ever beat at 154, not counting Forrest? I'm talking about an 06 Quartey here, six years after the Vargas fight. You have to be ignorant to not recognize that Guerrero currently is a higher level than that version of Quartey.

I though Forest beat Quartey. Outside of the HBO announcing team trying so hard to convince the viewers that Ike was dominating. I though Vernon was landing throughout. I haven't seen it in awhile.

HBO needed Quartey to win that fight. He ended up getting a big fight anyway rather than Forest.

It's irrelevant to boost Forrest's resume up by saying a fighter was good because he beat Forrest. The reality of the situation is that Guerrero was a prime multi-titlist pfp top 15 guy and Quartey was a faded guy who was somewhere in the top 10 at junior middle. This one is no contest.

I put a link to this in the general forum, so that explains why the number for Mayweather has gone up slightly.
