Mayweather doesnt have near the power of Cotto to keep Mosley away from Mayweather.

Both Winky and Forest are bigger than Shane. But he gave both fighters a really close fight in the respective rematches. He typically loses to skillful boxers bigger in size and overall mass. Sure they LOOK the same size but Mosley is just noticeably larger in muscles mass and overall density.

If Mayweather fought backwards against ****in' Hatton and Baldomir. He'll be running for the hills against Mosley. Floyd's far too cautious to impose any sort of attack like Cotto did and would go too far into the defensive, something Mosley loves. Once your on the run or on the defensive against Mosley...it's hard to stop him from attacking you. He has the chin to take enough shots from Mayweather to land his monster hits against Floyd and I honestly doubt Floyd takes to them well.

Cotto is ten times more chinny than Floyd and nothing Mosley hit him with effected him like Judah, Torres or Corley.

The only reason Mosley looked so spectacularly stong against Margarito is because Margarito was the most over hyped fighter of the decade and had no answer for a simple straight right hand.

Power means almost nothing against a fighter like Mosley whos only knock down came at the hands at 154lb Vernon Forrest. He came forward vs Forrest, prime De La Hoya, and Winky Wright. What bothered Mosley in the fight was Cotto's boxing ability, which is not near that of Floyds. Mosley couldnt exploit Cotto's terrible defense, when guys like Corley, Torres and even friggin Malignaggi were able too. Mosley has shown that he struggles against fighters with a strong jab, Floyd has a great jab when he chooses to use it like he did against De La hoya. He'll pepper Mosley coming in with the jab and in the mid rounds Mosley will tire and Floyd will work him in the middle of the ring just like he did against Oscar. If Mosley gets him against the ropes he will role and counter like he always does, a guy like Mosley's chin is always exposed.

Guys like Mosley and Hopkins looked young against Margarito and Pavlik because they are giant punching bag. Against guys with a decent amount of boxing ability like Cotto and Calzaghe their age showed. Against a guy like Mayweather, Mosley will miss and miss big, and it will show. De La Hoya had a minimal amount of success against Floyd because he throws alot of pitty patty punches to set up a big punch, which makes it look like he was landing more then he actually did. A guy like Mosley doesnt punch like that, he throws sledgehammers nearly every time, and it will be much easier for Floyd to get out of the way. Floyd does not need to initiate the fight to beat Mosley. If you saw the Cotto fight you'd know that Cotto basically coasted down the stretch and still was able to win rounds against Mosley.

As i have said many times. I favor a young Mosley against Mayweather. A mosley that didnt tire, and continuously brought the wood, but this Mosley will get tired, and against a fighter like Mayweather, as De La hoya and Hatton showed, its curtains when that happens.

DLH or Hatton have reached anywhere near the numbers that they had against Mayweather.

He is the biggest draw in boxing ...

Excellent post! Margo was tailor made for Shane because he stands right in front of you. With PBF he wouldn't have that luxury.

    The sad truth.

I am dissapointed in Money May.

If you want to fight, fight. If not, say so. None of this pricing out BS.

Floyd retired when Oscar "only" offered him 15 million guaranteed. If he will not fight a man he beat for 15 million plus a ton of PPV bonus he is not gonna come out of retirement for Shane Mosley or even Pacman. The only person who might be able to generate 17-20 million guaranteed is Hatton in a rematch if he KO's Pac and if they fight in Wembley in front of 85,000 people which would bring in a massive gate.

Which says that Cotto's skills are actually a lot better than people give him credit for...I think Mosley was "exploiting" his defense rather comfortably in the later rounds, but it was just too little too late. Cotto was very determined in that fight.

Both Corley and Malinaggi fought a SUPER green Cotto...the man wasn't anywhere near the abilities he has now or even when he fought Torres.

So does Mosley...and he has longer reach than Floyd. Who's to say he won't jab against Mayweather who's shown he has a hard time with guys who have long jabs. DLH was bothering him with the jab, Zab was bothering him with the jab and Mosley would definitely bother him with his jab. If Floyd stays on the ropes, Floyd will get caught NASTY with the hayemakers to the head or body...I'd say Shane is actually faster than DLH at this point than DLH was when he fought PBF.

Let's also not forget that FLoyd has brittle ass hands. If he were to lose ONE of those hands, and its a pretty nice possibility, he would be ****ed in all sorts of ways.

Both Cotto and Calzaghe throw in combinations, which will bother fighters like Mosley and Hopkins because of their reaction time. But Floyd hardly EVER (in terms of his campaign at 147) throws more than two punches at a time. He won't "tire" Mosley. Unless he literally ran for four rounds straight, which he won't do because Mayweather would prefer to stand still and just look to counter or throw his lame ass jab to the body as some sort of a spear-like poking mechanism. If he were to try and poke Mosley from a distance with that jab, he'll set himself up for a nasty ass counter overhand right. Mosley has the longer reach and it'll catch Mayweather.

Mayweather hasn't fought anyone with power @ 147. Hatton and Baldo aren't punchers at all in this division. Shane is...Mayweather was paused and buzzed by Corley and DLH, Shane will catch him with some good ones and my curiousity about how Mayweather would take those shots is my question...Mayweather chin hasn't proven ****. His defense is so great we actually don't know how good his damn chin is. But he hasn't fought someone that can possibly beat his reaction time. And I'm curious to see how good his chin really is. All this "Mayweather has a great chin" talk is bull**** because we really don't know. Not at these weight divisions...That's my question mark on the fight.

It wasn't clean but he hit him with a shot that froze mayweather for a second. Definitely not in the Corley-like demeanor, but he paused for a second and gave that "Oh ****" kinda face.
