Floyd Mayweather was never a big draw like people think he always needed a mexican or mega star

It’s not just how many asses you put on seats but the value you get from their pockets.

Floyd was as good at promoting himself and maximising interest in himself and his fights as he was at boxing, and he was a superb boxer as we know. He managed to get up enough people's noses with the money stuff that they paid to watch him lose and because he never did they kept paying.

He needed the right dance partner to hit the very high numbers, but that's not unusual. Us boxing market in particular seems to break down on demographic lines and it's usually fights that capture Latino Americans imagination that post the biggest numbers. Floyd didn't make the rules, he just played them, masterfully, to his advantage.

    It's all about Oscar.

Mayweather and Pacquaio went mainstream after they fought and beat Oscar.

Oscar is a guy who had made Canelo into person who he currently is and thank for this was we do know.

There might be xx properly handled boxers by Oscar instead of the same " unique " Canelo.

No, that was an example of nearly 5 million people who bought a $100 PPV in the U.S., were disappointed the fight was one-sided and boring, and didn't want to pay for another one a couple months later when they knew who was going to win. (LOL)

His drawing power was exposed when he had four of the top five PPVs of all time.

I am not sure but probably not much in it. I understand Canelo’s guarantee was $15 Million but with the DAZN subscription’s it grew to $35 Million and BJS guarantee was $2.5 Million and he made $8 Million. What I have not been able to verify was the live gate revenue from the 73,000 crowd at AT&T stadium. The point I am making when Mayweather sells out the MGM Grand and T Mobile arena in Vegas with the ticket prices it generates more revenue than the stadiums e.g. Mayweather’s fights with Pacquiao and McGregor excellent examples of this.

Pacquiao's fight with Oscar is tied for the 24th highest selling PPV, and it's tied with Mayweather-Victor Ortiz and Pac-Cotto.

Again, Manny vs. Oscar is #24.
    Pac vs. Cotto is #24.
And Floyd sold as many against freaking Victor Ortiz - which is also at #24.

The highest Pac and Oscar got without Mayweather was #14 - Manny-Marquez III and De La Hoya-Trinidad. Which are both tied at #14 with Mayweather-Mosley.

On the list of highest selling PPVs, when Floyd fought Manny, the fight was #1.
When Floyd fought Oscar, the fight was #3.
When Floyd fought Cotto, the fight was #12.

They couldn't do that without him.

    Who lifted who again? (LOL)

How many did he do for Hatton? How much for Mosely? Your hate is hilarious. Your thread is a failure much like your bjs canelo thread. Pbf did big numbers and was the ppv king those are facts.
