Not being funny mate but you miss the point by a mile - and most of what you say actually contradicts the point you are trying to make. The rest is just incoherent nonsense. 'If Cotto, Oscar or SSM could make 140' - they can't. That's the whole point. Hatton can. Why? Because Hatton is a smaller guy. How much simpler can it be? Ermmm, yes. His career worst performances are at 147. He's a 140 fighter. Quite a simple concept to grasp I'd have thought.
I thought that you were talking bollocks, but its your opinion so :good, but i'm sorry I can't let the above go, listing that ***** with the likes of Sugar Shane, Oscar and Cotto is way out of order :-(
Believe it or not some posters round here think that kind of thing is the epitome of wit You'll get used to it
I see so on that premise i guess Cotto should try and make 140 again right? Honestly  Ok Floyd was the smaller guy moving up in weight from 130. So was Judah after fighting as high as light middle. So was Cotto. So was Shane Mosley. So was Oscar. So was Gatti. See how stupid you sound. I mean forget there boxing ability right.. its just weight isnt it.. FFS
:-( :yep Fact of the matter is, whatever any of us feel about this there is no way that Mayweather gets in a ring with Hatton at 140, 147 or whatever...its just not going to happen. The announcent by Trotter, sorry, I mean Ray Hatton is merely a ruse to drag Pacman into negotiations sooner rather than later. Weight certainly does matter, but probably a lot less than the 17 different weight classes would suggest.
To hit the nail on the head, Mayweather has the perfect style to beat Hatton at any weight. Is Ricky really that bad at 147, IMO no he isn't - the first time he fought at welter in decent shape (he wasn't for Collazo) he was competitive for six rounds before being schooled. It does seem like the 147 thing is being trotted out as an excuse, but I don't buy it. Bring back the days of just 8 weight divisions!!
There is a big difference though. 140 to 147 seems to be a jump that's quite obvious. Look at the size of people like Bradley, Hatton, Torres. Then one weight up you have guys like Margarito, Williams, Clottey who could all arguably hold their own at middleweight.
