Schaefer declared Canelo was "now ready" to fight the big names, citing Cotto, Mayweather and Martinez. In that order, I think. To me, Sergio was just a name drop though.

I know they've been talking about that in the HBO programs but I have yet to see Alvarez say he's gonna rattle Floyds bones or laugh at Floyd on ESPN saying he's a duck duck goose.

The public are raising major questions regarding Floyds willingness to fight Sergio and Pac.

Floyd isn't well preserved. His body has broken down a lot.

Pac-May still does 1.8, at least. Casuals don't know ****, don't follow day-to-day and aren't nearly as fed up with it. We are a miniscule percentage, which makes it funny how much we bicker amongst ourselves.

i can see floyd just retiring. hes gettinig old and he knows it. he knows his age is effecting his performance thats why his fights are getting closer and closer.

an knowing floyd i doubt he will fight alvarez, serg, or pac. he will prolly go after berto if he beats k9.

He will sell a fight regardless,

I dont think he will pick a no hoper opponent, because that is not his style

Retirement is an option.. he is 35..

If the Pac fight dont happen, its whatever. We can fight all we want, but we have no idea what goes on behind closed doors.

One week *****s seem to have the upper hand, the next *******s do. Its tedious.

The Martinez fight, its again a possibility, but is a huge risk. Martinez can campaign at 160 more than comfortably. If he comes to 154, the weight could affect him, it might not.. and from Mayweathers perspective, it might not be worth the risk if he truly values his 0 and not just from a marketing perspective.

Then again if the 0 really means something it is because he does take his legacy seriously, and that may be enough to get him in the ring with them. Time will tell, arguing wont.

Personally, im a big Mayweather fan. But I think he spends all his money. He made alot recently over the last couple years, but I think he has spent most of it.

Even just running his house, bills - gas, electricity, heating, water ect.. is going to cost a fortune.
And that is before you factor in the huge amounts he is pissing away gambling.

Then he lives a lavish lifestyle, private jets everywhere, splashing cash whereever he can.

He will end up broke, and if he has a good team, he will know that.

So he will need more money. So he will need to fight again, because he aint marketable like Pac is.

So if he needs to fight again, who will he fight? If he values his 0 its because he cares about his legacy. Because after his final pay check, apart from legacy the 0 dont mean ****.

So he will take a challenge, maybe apart from Pac/Martinez there isnt one now... The boxing landscape changes very quickly. Patience would be needed to chose the right opponent. And Mayweather has patience, just look at his fighting style.

Me too, 1.8 is the minimum.

I don't know that Floyd-Martinez does more than Ortiz, much less Mosley or Cotto.

I agree with this 100%. Its quite ******ed that the 200 people who likes boxing are more divided than libs and cons.:-( This is why Golf, ****ing Golf!! is blowing Boxing away.
