    I mean, he likely wouldn't have been undefeated in that time period with the frequency of fights, but come on? From light weight to welterweight, he definitely would at least have been a contender.

    He would have been in the hunt. But something to consider...he had issues with his right hand so severe that he paid a man $100k annually to be available to wrap his hands and he only fought once or twice per year for most of his career. In an era where guys were fighting monthly, and even more, with smaller gloves, how could his hands possibly hold up? He would be forced to fight so negatively that he wouldn't draw well and thus he would be shut out of opportunities, like many other fighters were during that time. Or he would go the route of so many fighters that never reached the level that their early potential promised because their hands didn't hold up.
