I was amazed of what he said in the last 24/7 episodes, he's portraying himself like a thug, a gangster from the ghetto.. with no parents or no love.

I found an interesting article where Jeff Mayweather explained something.

For me, it was a choice to leave. I always try to put my best foot forward and I’m all about family, and up until his like 10th fight, I never took a dime from Floyd Jr. I’m a modest person, I don’t need the fame. In my heart, I know what I have done. That's good enough for me. One day, when we were doing a radio show in Vegas, he shows up with James Prince. Myself or Roger didn’t know anything about this guy, but Floyd wanted him there. Floyd was the one whom put him on the fight scene, that’s how he got Winky Wright and Diego Corrales, Mark "Too Sharp” Johnson and also former IBF Jr Lightweight Champion, Steve "Two Pound" Forbes. I think he just took him to Houston and showed him the big houses, the nice cars and many other things as well. He also promised Floyd that he can establish his own rap label. Soon after, Floyd would act like he wanted to be a thug or something, he didn’t have any real life struggles or lived in the projects or did anything to give him any street credibility He grew up with a loving family in which we all did our part to help him reach his dreams. He never even worked a job growing up.

Interesting comments from Jeff Mayweather in this article.

To Floyd.. he needs to grow up and stop playing. He always said he gives credit to those who earned it, well.. it looks like his family has earned some credit, and I think his dad, his uncle and Jeff have been there for him all his life, he should start showing some respect.

I'm on the same page.. he's a great boxer.
But unfortunately, it looks like he's a complete douchebag.

If you would open your eyes and read what I have to say, and what Jeff had to say.. you would understand.
I do respect Floyd for the fighter that he is, but I question his personality, and his charisma.. is there something wrong in that? :huh

I have known Jeff for about three years now and that isn't a "hate" thread. The truth is that Floyd grew up with a supportive family, all this talk of him being beaten and growing up in the ghetto is bunk. If you knew Jeff you would know how much it pains him that his family has been ripped apart because of ego, and how much his family's name is being tarnhished because of stupid marketing gimmicks.

Boxings fans might admire Mayweather's skills, but very few respect him

It does feel as though Roger is the only one in the family receiving props from Jr himself. It's sad to see how split they seem, Jeff seem like a real down to earth guy, in all his interviews I've read he's been top class.
Whenever I see a 24/7 episode, or an interview with Floyd Jr, I always hear him talking about either money or his backgroud, how he was beaten and so on. We never hear about what support he got from his whole family, damn.. he had his dad, Roger and Jeff literally for free for a long time, now that's support and love... I don't know what Floyd is on about sometimes, and I don't know the whole story.. I bet none of us do know the full story, but the least thing he can do is give props to those who deserve props, like the man said himself.

I don't think PBF acts like a thug, he's just confident. I know what real thugs are like and I never heard him mention he was a thug. I'm know thug but I consider myself cool and layed back.

Again, I'm not hating.. I'm questioning something that Floyd have stated over and over that he stands for, loyalty.
He needs to give credit to those who earned it, it seems more like he's backstabbing and acting, he's got a good background from what I can see :huh

It's interesting to see that he's a pretender in real life, a great fighter but he must have really low self-esteem. Plus he hangs with Fiddy so he has **** taste too.

it's nothing new, Mayweather is a fake and a horrible little spoilt shithead.
The part I don't get is why would he lie about his background?

 where did you hear that?
    Toney is no scumbag either.
Also, you don't see him making false claims about a tough childhood etc then crying when Larry Merchant tells him he sucks.

I see everyone agrees with Jeff that Floyd had a wonderful life. I'm sure if I check some of you guys previous post I might see something written about how his family is all crack heads.
