Boxing is about style matchups Chima. Kosta had the perfect anecdote for a fast southpaw like Judah, a deadly straight right hand. For whatever reasons (speed, athleticism, power, southpaw stance), Judah gave Floyd problems and he did what he had to do to get past him.
LMAO!!! Its all good I know your not to fond of him I just wanted to see if the inner you had any love for the pretty one.
id say his fight against corrales was his best moment and castillo and corrales are not better fighters then a prime Zab
Judah has A level talent which seems to allways give great fighters trouble early in fights. Its hard because I agree with you that he is not A level as a fighter, and yet I put him above almost all B level fighters.
Ok so your arguing that his greatest win was someone else. Who then? You can play that game with any of these fighters... DLH (losses to SSM twice), Trinidad, Bernard by KO Corrales (KO losses to Castillo, Casa, and Decisioned by Clottey) Castillo (KO losses to Hatton and Corrales)
Well, look at it this way: If you're going to give Cotto credit for the way he came back from adversity to batter, and ultimately stop Judah (and you should, because Zab was looking pretty focused that evening), then you should give credit to PBF for showing the same cool, and grit, in finding a way to frustrate an opponent who appeared to have things going his way after four rounds. I'm not sure that it was his best win, but it did prove, once and for all, that there was some definite substance to go along with the style.
First, good counter point except that Oscar and Bernard was not a close fight. If you read my initial post, I state that Zab wasnt the best fighter Floyd beat, but that it was his best win and demonstrated his charachter.
You people need to realize that styles make fights. I hear it all the time, and I agree with it. Judah is quick and is a slick southpaw. He has the perfect style to give Floyd problems. The best style to beat Judah would be a brawler who dosen't let him breathe or think, just continues to put pressure on him. That's why Cotto and Baldo beat him. Once Floyd realized Zab was to quick and elusive, he turned from boxer to brawler and that is what makes his performance so great.
Good post, I agree with everything exept this last part. I thought he turned into a patient preasure fighter who used accuracy more than power or brawling to pick Judah appart. It wasnt so much that he ruffed Judah up or even that he hit him that hard, but he was placing his shots perfectly on Judahs face WHILE coming forward which he normally doesnt do. Thats why I liked the fight, he had to go away from what he was best at and it was interesting to watch.
