    And even possibly before that

It has lifted Floyd's resume to unparalleled levels

No other win of the past 30 years even compares. Floyd's win over him just keeps getting better and better as years go by. Him beating up a prime Canelo Alvarez is single handedly becoming the greatest win of this era

The victory certainly ages well given what type of star Canelo became, but wasn't Floyd's best performance. Still would think Corrales did that or even Pacquiao who was a greater fighter than Canelo was when they fought.

Can he beat him now though? Canelo has improved by leaps and bounds since 2013.

In much the same way as FMJ fought fading stars or handicapped fighters just to get a name on his resume he fought Canelo because he could see he was a rising star and needed to beat the young lion before he became too good for him.

Was that Canelo really the prime Canelo?Yeah he was younger but was he this good?If he was as good as he is now he would be number 2 P4P,right after Mayweather,we are currently witnessing Canelo's prime

Doesn't come close to Paul's destruction of prime Mayweather in my opinion.

Tbh that was not prime Mayweather too he was old. He was nowhere not even 75% of his prime when he fought Corrales.

Floyd gets huge credit for the specific version of Canelo who he beat. Huge credit. But he didn’t fight this current version. You know this.

Floyd fought the version who’d fought Mosley, Lara and Trout etc.

As for being prime, we all know that you don’t believe this.

He is currently in his prime right now.

What do you think he’ll do next?

Do you think he’ll go back up to LHW?
