The Corrales fight was impressive, sure. But Floyd won that fight with his super human speed and by using his power and accuracy.

To me his most impressive performance was maybe against Zab Judah or Ricky Hatton. The Judah fight is great because Judah had the edge ins bz speed and power and was able to get off faster than Mayweather.. but Mayweather changed strategies mid-fight and gradually broke down Zab. If you like BOXING that fight is VERY impressive.

Also the Hatton fight just because of some of the amazing things Floyd did in it. Floyd's left hook (as it has been called more often than it should recently, a 'check hook', that is a left hook on someone coming in) and in particular his right hand lead are STILL getting better EVERY FIGHT. If you look at early Floyd fights, he relies more on his speed to get in leading power punches, but he just threw anything if there was an opening - right hooks, left hooks, uppercuts - he was just so fast he could land them no matter what.

But as Floyd is getting older and needs more skill than physical gfits... he's developed this right hand lead and its BEAUTIFUL.. ITs so amazing how he's able to time a fighter's RHYTHM and throw the shot when they're not expecting it. Also he does such a great job of varying his own rhythm, and disguising the right hand... damn its just fantastic. You NEVER expect it. He doesn't even throw it nearly as fast as he did say 3-4 years ago, but his sense of timing with it is just amazing.

Anyway now that I'm done gushing... the Hatton fight, features the Mayweather's straight right hand lead at its BEST. Its such an amazing punch.

Also those left hooks on Hatton as he comes in are amazing too. Its really hard to throw a hook with any power while you're also moving your upper body AWAY from your opponent.. yet Floyd was able to land one PERFECTLY to knock down Hatton. Absolutely brilliant stuff.

People say 130 lbs was Floyd's best weight... well maybe his physical gifts were at their greatest there... but Mayweather is still gettin more skilled as a fighter. So personally I'm actually looking forward to the future. I predict 100% connect rate on Mayweather's right hand leads by 2009! :bbb

I've seen more than enough of Mayrunner (and his weak 3 career KO's!) fighting weak and/or aging fighters and ducking good WW's.

Why do care so much about him not fighting certain welterweigts? He's already beaten plenty of young, strong fighters (and champions at that!) at 130-140 lbs!

I really enjoyed the Hatton fight beause it showcased his ability to adjust any type of style any fighter puts in front of him...The way he lit Hatton's face with those pinpoint combinations put a smile on my face...He showed that he was not going to be dettered by Hattons rough housing tactics and gave him a little be of his own medicine

Magnificant performance by the pfp King

Castillo I fight! Castillo beat the crap out of Mayweather, judges gave the fight to Void, but fans knew better, Void did not win the first fight and everyone knew it, that's why the rematch was made to settle the controversy

What if a big wrestler falls on Mayweather? That could be his last fight, squash, like a bug.

I think the Judah fight was very impressive because the best style to beat Judah with is relentless pressure, which was being applied on him by guys like Tszyu, Cotto and to a degree by Baldomir.
Since that is not Mayweather's natural style at all, i'm still impressed with how he stylistically transformed himself in that fight.
However, when you talk about excitement, i really don't think this fight belongs in this poll. It was not some action-packed war filled with bristling exchanges or spectacular combinations.

Mayweather has been in so many exciting fights. It's the biggest myth ever that his fights are boring.
