I know that, but just because it won't be able to happen for every single fight doesn't mean that it shouldn't happen for this one.

Even if done one time its better for boxing then to have never done it.

    pie in the sky, brother.

you need to grasp the basics of cost/effectiveness.

this is a whole other issue which has like hundreds of threads.

You're right and I apologize, I took out frustrations from something completely unrelated on you and that's bull****. I sincerely apologize, as that was completely unnecessary, whatever you said in response, was well deserved.

Its known that you can't do blood testing in boxing because it won't be cost effective. This fight will generate so much money that cost wouldn't be an issue.

Even if you are testing once, you are still possibly preventing someone from cheating this time making it good for boxing.

If you gave one bum on the street $5 worth of food to eat you aren't stopping solving homelessness. But it was still a good deed for mankind. Or should you say because its not cost effective for you to give every bum on the street $5 you shouldn't help any bums.

This isn't just "once" as it's been done in the past as well, most recently with Shane and PBF, also Tyson-Holyfield...so if you want to frame it this way that's fine, but you still have provided a legitimate reason why this is somehow such a huge point of contention?

These are independant contractors and are perfectly within their "rights" to lay out drug testing standards beyond what would be the "bare minimum". That being said, while it may not be cost effective to do across the board, cost effective in the context of this fight is obviously not an issue.

pacquiao shouldn't be subjected to these tests. first, shane and holyfield were KNOWN to use steroids. Pacquiao wasn't and itsn't. Pac's not black. He doesn't use steroids.

If anyone is cheating its Floyd. Don't give me this BS that he takes care of himself and is a natural athlete.

Black athletes who have used. Shane,Roy Jones Jr. Marion Jones, NFL athletes..list goes on.

you are correct. a silly mistake of mine. i did have a look at mayweather promotions motion tho...it has no chance.

i feel comfortable jumping ahead having seen that.

if osdt means "olympic standard drug testing" (ie the level of drug testing used in the olympics) it is urine tests for everyone but the medalists who get blood tested after medalling.

well...according amir khan anyway. but what would he know. it's not like he boxed in the olympics of anything.

The rule is slightly different for public figures. Public figures must prove Malice. This means that the person being sued had the knowledge that what they said was false.

This is going to be hard to prove. If Pac does win it will set a precedent, that's for sure.
