I'm a fan of ALL these fights when it's kept in perspective. I respect the talent, craft, skill and dedication to the sweet science and these men have all excelled far beyond most who have laced up.

But wrong is wrong. All of these men had short comings outside the ring. Some more than others. I don't condone ANY man who lays hands on a woman. But I must say i like some of these guys personalities outside the ring. Floyd....Not so much. He just seems fake. Some guys can pull off being cocky and confident...some just come off looking like a cornball, ass hole with a complex.

Floyd being "Money" only hinders him as a man, professional and entertianer. It's actually a catch 22 for Floyd. While he gets people to look at him and pay attention to him, it's not the POSITIVE attention that guys like Manny or DLH enjoyed. So Floyd gets all salty and cries about not getting his respect, but he fails to realize the respect that is given can be just as easily taken away. It's a shame really b/c Floyd could have been FAR more than what he has become.

I know where you coming from, but Floyd has already tried the Golden Boy, Joe Louis type path and he wasn't getting the money and fame he wanted. So he decided to change up his persona and use the Ali route. When Floyd was younger, he wanted to be a KO artist and get major ppv buys that way, but I guess he realized that wasn't attainable because of his hands and the results he was getting still

I don't know man....Floyd has charisma! It's how he channels that characteristic that ****s him. He could have been a Sugar Ray or as he did, took over when DLH retired. But Floyd's choice of being the villian and embracing the "**** THE WORLD" attitude has hurt his stock.

What's impressive and telling is the fact that Floyd has done a lot as a prize fighter...and has gotten to a level that 99% of fighter never reach. But he has cut himself off at the knees. Where he was at during his peak was seriously only the tip of the ice berg in terms of what "could have been" with regards to Floyd.

It will be really interesting how far this lawsuit will go especially the motion to dismiss has been denied. It would be costly for both parties involved.

In Pacquiao's case, the suspicioun that he's a cheat, is'nt just brought out because he refused random testing. There was reason to be suspicious of him to begin with......the many weight classes he's gone through (unprecedented in boxing) and the fact that now in his eight weight class he's clearly a fighter that skillwise is not amongst the best this sport has ever seen.
......and not that Pacquiao doe'snt have skill, but his domination of these bigger fighters has more to do with athleticism than it does actual boxing skill. This very fact arises the suspicioun of PED use even more.

So its not just "Fighter A refused a proposal to random drug test, he must be a cheat."
Thats not the case here at all.

The case here to point to Pacquiao as a cheat is to look at how physically he's been able to sustain his abandon through each weight class........and then to continue to dominate physically when clearly he's the undersized fighter in there.
The Cotto fight absolutely magnified this very fact.

What basis do you have to say Mayweather has'nt followed through with it?
He's had one fight since he requested Pacquiao that both he and Pacquiao submit themselves to better drug testing.......and in that fight both he and Mosley were under a random drug testing watch.

Mayweather can only control what stipulations he wants when he fights, its up to the boxing commision if it wants credibility to up the ante and bring on better more modernized testing so that at least the public knows everything in their power to ensure fairness is being implemented.

I think its ridiculous in this day and age, knowing that there are athletes everywhere looking for anything legal or illegal that they can do to gain and edge, its ridiculous that a fight that may very well gross in excess of 100 million dollars that the commision will test those two fighters with an outdated drug test when much better ways to catch cheats are available.
