No one besides Margarito who Arum did offer Floyd a fight but with a promotional contract after Floyd had just bought himself out.

8 Million for Margarito, 5-6 Million for bigger threats. Is that a deal you'd sign? He was also told the DLH fight was not going to happen.

 

Mayweather was calling for time off prior to the DLH fight. After the Baldomir fight.

Marquez isn't the only one to make a big move in weight, if you keep your eyes off fighters from Mexico and only Mexico for once you will see many others have done the same and that includes Mayweather. You do know that Mayweather was a former super featherweight, don't you?
