I agree completely. This sort of **** talking is what gives boxers a bad name. It's not even funny or entertaining. Just childish, really.

 

This IS true...if his behaviour affects the good name of boxing, like I suppose it must do, then this IS bad...bad for boxing=bad boxer, however good he is in the ring.

So, its agreed. Floyd makes an effort to act like a ******. What I found most interesting was the realization that Floyd used his father to get at ODLH. Really wondering what the hell is going on in that family, and what type of egomaniac Floyd must be, to take advantage of his father like that..

After all the **** he has talked about his father, all the lies he has strung together, we get glimpses of what might be another side of him.. But, you know what? I'm having a hard time believing the nice guy is really who he is. I don't believe he is one or the other, he's some sort of selfish kid who wants desperately to have it both ways.

Floyd Sr. I think is a good guy. He messed up and paid for it. A testament to his character, and importance of family to him, is that he was so willing to take a DNA test to see if the other kid was his son, and his actions after that.. He is a standup guy who probably wants to be around his sons, as any father would. Floyd threw him out of his life, saw an opportunity to use him as an angle on an opponent, and all of a sudden had a change of heart? Difficult situation to assess. I mean, how would Floyd Sr have felt if Oscar would have knocked Floyd out?? Of course he would go back to his son.

I think Floyd is a kid who wants to be somebody he isn't. Self obsessed animal who is struggling with his identity. He doesn't need to act like an ass to sell tickets. I liked Floyd a lot more when he kept his mouth shut.

Its probably one of the better posts I have read on here for while actually.
You can be arrogant & cocky but still command respect the problem with Floyd is that what little respect he had from people is slowly fading away as a result of all of his bull****. A great fighter but never going to be remembered in the same context as the names iceman mentioned.
Jesus , I have probably got a bigger fanbase than that obnoxious ***** & its a shame because if his demeanour matched that of his skills he could have been remembered as THE greatest as a man as well as a boxer.
