exactly, to be the best or be considered the greatest you have to fight and beat the best. Ali isn't considered the GOAT cuz of his skills alone. It's cuz he fought and beat the best during his time. That's what makes you the greatest:good

 

I don't consider Ali the GOAT...I like Robinson and Armstrong above him..there a couple others I could probably place higher too!

Has anyone ever took into consideration that "they" never wanted to fight him?

He called Delahoya out for maybe like 5 years. He called Casamayora out he called Acelino out when he was still a beast. He called Shane out in their prime. He called Kostya Tszyu out.

I can't stand when people say he was scared to fight so and so when that couldn't be further from the truth.

He was forced to fight guys like Corely and Gatti at 140 because Hatton and Tszyu wasn't trying to see him and we seen what happen to Vivian Harris.

Only weight class he hasn't really ran thru is 147 but considering he fought Mitchell (his first fight at welterweight) and no slouch Baldomir (linear champ when he fought him...it is what it is.) Judah (former undisputed welterweight champ) and Ricky Hatton (whose really a junior middleweight) just because he's never really in shape. I'd say he accomplished a lot so far at 147...

Nobody at 147 except for Mosely and Pac deserves a shot at Floyd bottom line.
Look at there careers...how many weight classes they've conquered...and they're loss category and they're caliber of competition.

When it come to boxing dude is the King.

youll find the DLH that fought pacman was way past his best, and floyd never looked in any trouble to me, still remember that smile on his face as hoya was arm punching him in the ribs.

 

Floyd has all of this and yes it makes him very special. But it is all a waste. The truly competitive matches were to be made at welter and none materialized. Floyd is too good to be dicking with the little guys, it just isn't fair. For the past several years I feel like Floyd is the best boxer if you want to walk into a fancy gym and watch the most amazing shadowboxing you ever seen. But at the end of the day that's all it is.
