You guys who don't respect Floyd will never respect Floyd ... even if he beats Cotto.

This is where you are 100% wrong. Floyd the person, I don't care for. Floyd the fighter I respect. I find him boring, but his talent is unquestionable. If he would take on the best challenges I'd be a fan. I couldn't stand watching Pernell Whitaker (his style just didn't suit me) but I was a big fan because he sought out the best fighters. Floyd doesn't seem to have any desire to do that.

PBF will fight the winner of Cotto/Marg. And if he beats the winner guess what? The critics will still be there saying he needs to fight this guy or the other. It wont stop.

Most greats catch a lot of **** from critics.

Ali had tons of critics and now he is considered #1 heavy all time by most.

SRL had critics and he is top 5 or top 10 atg by many people today.

False, I don't respect Floyd because of that simple fact, that he won't face Cotto, and is continuing to pile on the excuses(from financial excuses, to excuses dealing with Arum, to the completely laughable excuse that Cotto's no challenge) in order to get out of a fight with him. If Floyd manages to weasel out of a fight with Cotto, I will have no respect for him whatsoever. If he fights him, win or lose, I'll have more respect. If he does win, it will confirm the status that his fanboys hold of him(though not to the extent of someone like bigtime9), as I think Cotto is the one to beat him.

I'll give you one that never ducked anyone... Felix Trinidad!! :bbb When Tito was #1 in the P4P list he never backed down from no one, at any point. He just wanted to fight the best out there while making $$$$$ by the way. Why can't PBF do the same?:patsch

Like many, the ponce gets right up my nose but he is undeniably a great boxer. If he beats Cotto then there should be little argument over his current status as #1 P4P.

Come on man, everybody hate floyd because of the way he talks. U have to admit he makes anybody in front of him look like less of a fighter. It was all this hype about hatton until floyd beat his ass, then everybody talking about "oh that wasn't hatton's weight class". He beat the **** outta de la hoya then everybody talking about how floyd didn't fight. He won didn't he? I'm tired of all the floyd haters. Until someone can stop him from doing what he does best and that is win, i want everyone to be quiet.

But on another note, the bad thing about floyd is that he has tasted the millions too soon. I think if the De la hoya fight didn't happen he would've fought Cotto, but now cotto must be able to bring in the same amount of money. Although Cotto has a fan base it is very limited, not nearly to the stature of De la hoya or even Hatton, I hate to say that, After the Margo fight in July if it happens, Mayweather will have no other choice but to fight Cotto.

LETS GO STEVIE FORBS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! FOR BOXING SAKE!!!!!!!!!!

PS... If Cotto gets past Margo, I gurantee that Floyd vs Cotto next year!!!!

now.... that's a guy with hughe balls, tito took lots of risks, when up in weight from 147 to lightheavyweight fighting the best, no body can talk **** about tito and never had, if you ask me tito might be the most respected fighter in the last 20 years because of his willingness to fight anybody.:bbb

What the hell do you mean, legitimate champ? Baldo earned his championship by beating Zab in the ring. He was the linear champ at 147 not a paper champ like Margo was.:deal Please stop and don't ever say something so ridiculous unless you want to lose all credibility around here.

And I guess Margo is the second coming of SRL with his ATG boxing skills.:patsch Margo is as equally if not more limited as the fighters you said had no skill.
Perhaps the funniest comment yet. Can't punch while Margi is throwing punches? Margo is wide as **** and a counter-puncher's wet dream and PBF is the best in the sport. Margo will be beaten to the punch and countered to hell and back by PBF.:deal
