If Floyd loses to Pac, seriously Id be surprised if hed surpass his uncle as the best Mayweather. This is a biggest **** hitting the fan since Tyson was busted in Tokyo.
The number of I told you sos and the rush of I told you Castillo already beat this guy, and mosley would too for sure. Pryor, Chavez, all the pressure fighters..if that Hatton fight was at 140

I would actually feel bad for Floyd

Wait, you are putting Manny over Mayweather now?
He beat Corrales (Undefeated lightweight Tyson) , Castillo (The Chavez at 130), De La Hoya 154lbs (bigger and younger version), Zab Judah (Undamaged), Hatton (Undefeated and undamaged), Marquez (Number 2 Pound For Pound Fighter), Gatti (Feared puncher but flawed boxer) and former champions or at that time were dominating forces like Sharmba Mitchell, Carlos Baldomir, Angel Manfredy, Jesus Chavez who all were champions or former champions.

Almost ALL of Manny's victories were tainted in some way. Not his fault. His biggest fights were weight drained or over trained Mayweather victims. The others were past their prime and Morales still outboxed him.
I am no "Manny Hater" but a true boxing fan that does not listen to the media in order to come up with my assessment of a boxer.

Manny is awesome, a great puncher who is exciting to watch. We know he is not a great boxer nor is he a talented thinker. But he is a machine and that wins fights. Point blank. But if they put him over Mayweather, that would be absurd.

Losing a split decision does not "damage" you. Getting thoroughly beaten and knocked out by a fighter is what "damages" you.

They are hyping this upcoming battle. No way he is above Floyd. They would have to discount ALL of Floyd's achievements in the past 10 years to do that.
Manny JUST became famous once he knocked out Barrera in 2003. Politics and we call it "the truth". When Floyd knocks out Manny. They will give him nothing because he is SUPPOSED to do it. Floyd is in a trap. Will have to knockout Dawson and Haye in order to get respect.

IMO it's hard not to put him in the top 40. I think he's somewhere around where Bernard Hopkins is. Equally great, IMO.

Like him or not, Mayweather's skills are something you just rarely see in boxing. Outside of Roy Jones Jnr, I can't think of another fighter who's had such a perfect match of their skills and their style.

Mayweather literally does EVERYTHING RIGHT in the ring. Textbook right.

Win or lose if he takes the fight with Pac he instantly rises in my opinion. In recent years most of Floyds fights have been accused of having some cherry picked or other. Whether it's ducking opponents or playing weight advantages.

Lets take Hatton as an example. Hatton was top dog at 140 but hadn't looked good in his one fight above that. Floyd makes the fight at the higher weight, then takes a year out and agrees a new fight at 140 against JMM, so why not 140 against Hatton? However Floyd did have problems making the 140 limit (actually he didn't make it) so did he play the advantage on Hatton or is he genuinely struggling to make lower weights?

It's a reasonable excuse from Floyd (and lets not pretend Hatton would have done any better at 140 - I'm not saying that) but the truth is we can find a similar excuse for nearly all his fights since he fought at the lower weights.

Fighting Pac means he's taking on someone actually ranked higher than himself with a fantastic recent record who is clearly comfortable at anything below 147. For me just accepting this fight takes away any lingering suspicions of ducking/cowardice from his previous fights. Even if he loses to Pac, while I'm sure many would bring the usual 'exposed' accusations, I would actually rate him higher than I do as I'd feel more confident in the validity of his other wins.

They don't have to mention him to hype a fight. When you make the comparison that Manny is so great, it makes the fight with Floyd a match as opposed to mismatch.

Pac Beat 4 ATG's. Floyd beat 1 ATG. Pac 7 weight division accross 10. Floyd won 5 weight division out of 5. End of discussion.

You start making excuses for Pac, you can do the same for PBF. Corrales was weight drained and had personal problems dealing with prison, castillo beat him, ODLH past it, Hatton was fought at 147 with Cortez siding with PBF through the fight, Judah got beat by a guy with 10 losses....shi...it gets boring...making excuses.
