There's just barely any common sense left in huge fans of any fighter...It's like pointless being logical with any of them fans....such as MEGA fans of either Pacman - Calzaghe - Mayweather - Hatton or whom ever else....

 

i used to be like that with roy jones , it broke my heart when he lost but everyone knew (at least people that knew boxing well) before tarver 1 that tarver was going to be a problem . But roy had balls and fought a guy no one heard or cared about... but he knew the guy was tough... but you're right these guys are on a whole different level

 

As far as RJJ, he's the only one back then I couldn't be as objective with too.

To me there was all these very talented fighters...and then there was Roy Jones.

To compare with other sports what I mean:
I know guys like Emmitt Smith and Walter Payton are legendary running backs, but a guy like Barry Sanders was just more special to me... I'm sure the coach was just like : Never mind calling a particular running play, just give the ball to Barry and then we'll see what the **** happens !
