The only thing people need to say to Mayweather is five words:

    "Fight Shane or go away"

Well, no-one was perfect, not even Robinson.

Ali DID throw body shots but they were rare & it was more to set up his head shots, he never put power behind any body shot.

Mayweather - just as Ali is more than capable of throwing body shots - is more than capable of throwing combinations but he rarely does it, this **** can work both ways.

I think he is correct. Times change. Humans beings find better ways to do things. Athletes get better. I don't think Floyd is the only modern fighter who is more complete that Ali.

By the way, people dont say Ali is the greatest.

Mayweather is not talking about resumes and accomplishments.

He is talking about boxing skiils. Fundamental boxing skills Mayweather is better.

    Thats all he said.

If Ali was still in his prime, man he would of dismantled Floyd just with his mouth.

Some are taking the post out of context with comparing resumes and even head to head clashes.....it was only said he had a more complete skillset and as someone said earlier...many modern boxers today do have better skillset hell not just Ali but lots of our past fighters because hell thats who are today fighters have learned from so its a accurate statement.

Now does Floyd need a lot more to even come close to ali....fukkin right....but just based on skillset.....Ali was such a superior ATHLETE he didnt need to use the tools that mayweather has to use so i think the argument is pointless actually but its still accurate.

Years before that rooney Mayweather has said he's the best fighter of all times in which he has said in his mouth that he's better then Robinson, Leonard, Hagler and yes even Ali.

Ali was an unorthodox fighter who felt he did not need the fundamental's of boxing and for the most part he was right he could get away with a lot of things because of his other talent's (extraordinary reflexes) in the ring so in that sense i could see where Mayweather is coming from.
