Floyd 'Money' Mayweather Jr. v Sergio 'Maravilla' Martinez

Maravilla Martinez is the only ffighter I can think of right now that would give mayweather all he can handle...fast, underrated power and a good chin, mayweather is faster but I got the feeling that the southpaw stance would give pbf some trouble

 

It looks like the most feared man ran into the most underrated. Im thinking that P Williams wants no more of Martinez.

 

Cant believe the poll is so wide. Just shows how overrated Cotto was. And how underrated a far superior fighter in Sergio is.

 

A far superior fighter in Sergio? I am sure this is what many were saying about Quintana until he got blasted out in the rematch. So if PW beats Martinez convincingly in a rematch, then what. Cotto has nothing to do with this thread. If you want to call Cotto overrated, then that is your opinion, I respect him and others for being real fighters/warriors who will fight anyone they put in front of them. Not tag your name as the most feared or avoided fighter just to pick and choose who you really want to fight for the biggest purse or else you won't fight. Too much of this going around and this is what is hurting boxing.

 

If martinez can knock williams down he can do the same to mayweather,

thing is martinez fights better as a counterpuncher, but floyd is the master at that. obviously sergio the stronger of the 2, but i think floyd might just barely win this one.

 

Where is the option for: "Duck Dodger" Mayweather demands that Sergio Martinez be checked for having a set of balls since Mayweather doesn't have any. We all know that having a man fight a ***** is a big no-no.

 

as much as i like martinez this would be a boring fight with both fighters pawing and posing.

 

i actually think this could go either way. the smart choice is obviously fmj by decision, but it would be very, very close. martinez would definitely give floyd all he could handle.
