Everyone in the sport of boxing wanted and demanded Floyd vs. Mosley... until it happened, of course. Then many backtracked.

They will do the same thing with Pacquiao. They love screaming now that May is scared, but as soon as the fight happens "oh Floyd knew Pac was slipping" "Pac was concentrating too much on congress" "Pac was too small" etc......

Always an "IF" with Floyd. Why can't he just do one for his fans and make the fight happen so there is no more "If"
He is alive he just schooled Mosley as you stated so what is the problem.
Does he really believe Manny is on power pellets ? Does it even matter ?
If his ring IQ is so great he should love fighting an over agressive A Side meth user.

i get the point about floyd not fighting cotto or margarito four years ago - but having seen cotto and margarito's subsequent fights does anyone really think floyd wouldnt have beaten them. and anyone that says a young ssm would've faired better doesnt know much about shane. he's always done his best fighting against the walk up latin style fighters - against defensive fighters like wright and forrest he struggled. floyd would've beaten shane in any era

When is the last time SSM fought off such a long layoff ?
Do you really believe it is a good thing to wait 15 months after your best performance in years when you are 39 ?

I have also seen all 41 of his fights and 2 Olympic fights. I had Floyd winning the Castillo fight since I score fights on clean punches landed. I made sure to score it with the sound off. Also I don't know if you know this, but Floyd doesn't use the philly shell against southpaws that much. He usually keeps his hands up.

He got knocked down vs Zab, rocked by Corley. He is not nearly as dominating vs Southpaws because he can't use the shell.
Manny would be a nightmare for him. He has never faced a fighter with a right hook 1/10 of Manny's yet Zab made him touch canvas with his right hook.

OP has a valid point, and in fact missed some details about PBFs oppostion at WW:

Mitchell - was only his second fight at WW, had been thoroughly spanked by Tszyu only 2 fights earlier and went on to lose 1 out of a further 2 fights before retiring.

    Judah - lost to Baldomir

Baldomir - fair enough, he was the WW unified champ after his fluke win over Judah, but the guy had 5 losses when he fought PBF (a factor that PBF always mentions as a reason for not fighting someone) and went on to lose a further 3 times out of 6 fights after he fought PBF, and still went the distance with PBF.

What has PBF done at WW?

Look man, he got hit hard by Mosley, DLH hit him with a big right hand in rd 11, I guess by ur logic he struggles with orthodox fighters too??? This is boxing and you're going to nhit, but he gets hit less than pretty much anybody else in the sport. And I like how you negelect to mention that he busted up Judah, and dropped Corley 3 times in routes to wide UD's. Yeah what a struggle it was.

I am not arguing anything more than Floyd has the skills to fight better opp and is not doing himself anygood putting his skills on the shelf when there is so much to gain by him being in the ring.
I do believe he maybe one of the greats but can you see how I can question it when he has not fought the best? I personally in my heart believe he has a chin problem and i could very well be wrong but I just need to see the man fight a guy like Manny and would love to see him win.

Zab stepped on his foot while Floyd was off balanced and Floyd was fighting Corley in a gun fight and was being more offensive so It's bound to happen that he'll get hit

Why do you think its Floyd's fault that certain fights that you wanted to see didn't happen.
