If Floyd is Floyd no one one should have any doubt he beats Andre Berto convincingly or late round tko. But, this marks the 30 year anniversary of Holmes vs Spinks 1 fight in Sept, 1985. The fight was competitive. Holmes , like Floyd was not very popular among some of the casuals and boxing media. Even though, a slight majority thought Holmes won he lost on the scorecards when he was going for 49-0. This is something to thing about and Brain Neilsan the swedish Hw lost his bid to go 49-0. He just up and quit in the 10th of a fight he was winning. There is no gimmes in boxing EVER. Hopefully, fair play will be administered in this fight.

48-0 is the curse (Holmes and Chris John both; Ricardo Lopez suffered his draw while 47-0 going for 48-0).

Cesar Cuenca, 48-0 current IBF 140, needs to watch out on Nov. 4th when he faces Eduard Troyanovsky.

This fight is about as close to a gimme as you can get.

If Floyd loses his critics will be having a field day! I might not be able to go on social media at all. As a Floyd fan the amount of hate would be too much.

Berto is a zero threat, that's why Void picked him, plus Void owns the judges, referee, boxing commission, etc. I will not watch that fake fight. I just read the fight is a flop......................

49-0 is a Heavyweight record, it's just a manufactured point to attempt to emphasize Floyd's greatness but at lower weights Chavez Sr far beat that out. It's not going to factor in with the judging. And of course, Floyd is going to easily beat Berto anyway though I doubt he'll pull a Gatti job on him.

It's both the HW record, for wins in a row, as it is a retirement record for ending up flawlessly unbeaten. So it's not as much of a milestone as Marciano's one, or as Chavez Sr's one, who's the guy who reached the furthest of a small list that went waay beyond that 49-0 mark. But it would be tying a record, albeit that one being not as big as they make it out to be. Certainly because a HW 49-0 trumps any other weightclass' 49-0 for obvious reasons.

Paul Spadafora also lost when he was going for his 49th win.

Saying Berto is zero of a threat is crazy. The guy has a chance just like any other boxer getting in the ring. Floyd is human and if he gets hit the right way he could get into some trouble. I could see Berto catching him with an uppercut if Floyd ****s around. Bet your ass Berto gives a better effort than Pac, Guerrero, and Canelo did.
