There will always be a gigantic question mark around their fight as canelo was extremely green and also weight drained. Floyd is only 43, bhop fought tons of men in their 20's and 30s when he was in his 40's.

Clenelo would knock Floyd's head into the stands.

Floyd is 43 just stop. He still has skill but he's way past his prime we know he'd loose. If he wants to stay retired let him

This post is non sense. Mayweather is 43 and 2 years retired from professional boxing. On top of that, he can't make it to 160 weight. Way pass his fighting weight. Let's also cut the crap and excuses he was green with 42 fights under his belt. This fight was considered Mayweather passing of the torch. Many fighters, fans and sport analyst had Canelo as favorite.

That time has passed......Canelo is in his prime and Floyd is out of his and inactive....the fight would nothing but a money fight and Canelo would be hurt for cherry picking at least that is how the fight would be remembered

He was 23, and that's not usually considered prime, but neither is 36.

It was a good matchup age wise (given what was possible with both their careers), glad it happened.

Oh, damn @Forza such great point's I'm beginning to succumb and b b believe you now..

Bu bu but Te'o Lopez was 23 year's old, and vastly inexperienced compared Canelo when Canelo was also 23 year's old, but still Te'o Lopez clearly & decisively beat the brakes off the consensus number 1 P4P fighter Va-SILLY Lose-a-chenko.

So, why couldn't Canelo do the same?

Floyd was 37 year's old when he dominated Canelo. Loma was only 32 year's old when Te'o Lopez whooped his butt.

    Floyd schooled him already.

Canelo wasn't green, he was the rising superstar at the time and was already fighting at world level (Austin Trout, Shane Mosley etc). Plus, Floyd was already at the tail end of his career.

    Let it go.

Some things are best untouched, that W he has on prime-young Canelo. Is as powerful as the W Azumah Nelson put on the fans-favorite Salvador Sanchez.

If you want to debase the victory & harm Floyd ranking, Canelo has to lose to Margarito. (Best devaluation scenario)

Floyd might have a plan to cement the value of his legacy, by orchestrating a series of events that will eventually lead to Pacman vs Canelo in 2025, locking them in perpetual warfare, in rematches that end-up exhausting both fighters. Elevating-Equalizing their ATG status and keeping Floyd safely above both of them.

Floyd has a deep interest in Pacman-Canelo success.

Floyd was very happy to see Pacman humble Thurman and Canelo defile the USSR.

And yet, people want, no, EXPECT, 42 year old Pac to fight Crawford or Spence.
