He was right, you don't speak for tru boxing fans. I believe Ali is the GOAT. I have no problem with Mayweather saying he is. No different than SRL saying in an interview about 9 months ago. I would have knocked Mayweather out, but what else would I say, a real champion has belief in himself above all others.

I agree with Floyd. Why should he think Ali or SRR is better than him, considering how much he has given of himself to the sport? He has every right to think he is the best ever.

And to be fair, p4p, he probably is better than Ali. He is undefeated, fought more champions, went up 6 weight divisions, better longevity. P4P ali had much better chin, faster and better combinations, but Floyd is better defensively and has more offensive ****nal.

Ali was greater no doubt, but from a pure fighter technical breakdown standpoint, Floyd is up there with anyone, p4p.

He is entitled to his own g'damn opinion about himself. Moreover, it's an opinion he's able to back up.

He is undefeated; has stayed in the sport without getting severely punished and knocked out; he is the master of hitting without getting hit all while being the HIGHEST paid athlete of our generation.

I mean hate the guy all you want, but if you don't respect his success, you're just simply hating.

No on has to everybody knows who is greater .Ali doesn't need defending his greatness will continue to live on for generations to come I doubt people will talk about Floyd like they do Ali still when it's all said and done .The problem with this generation is most think that dollars equals greatness !

And that's the only reason he has an areana to say **** like this . He is entitled to his opinion.

He's a victim of his own ego. He cannot give props to the only GOAT out there.

Most people know I'm a Floyd fan. I believe he's the best of this generation from 2000 on but I'm not sure if Floyd breaks my top 25 of all time. Both Ali and SRR are already there. I have DLH, Whittaker, Hagler, Duran and SRL above Floyd. Heck throw in Chavez Sr in there too. And that only covers boxer in few divisions. 25 fills up fast. And who knows Floyd might even lose to Pacquiao.

Confidence is OK. Self-aggrandizing is not.

I'm sure Roger would tell him SRR is the greatest fighter that ever lived. In regards to Ali Roger would say "how can a mufvcka be the greatest when he ain't throw no gotdamn body punches?"

    haha roger what a guy

for me ali is the greatest because he took real challenges fights he wasnt supposed to win and did win in style he came back from big defeats to reach the top time and again he had everyone captivated by him when he spoke the whole package of ali in and out of the ring he was the greatest of all time imo

floyd is best of this era right now maybe top 20 of all time at a push

I grew up watching Tyson in my early youth and then transitioned into the era of De La Hoya to Mayweather/Pacquiao. Hell, even Trinidad and Camacho were my favs

If Floyd can decisively beat Pacquiao where he makes an 8 division world title champion look silly, and retire 49-0 after his farewell fight, I'll give him MY personal GOAT title. I cannot remember any boxer that gave Floyd an @ss whooping. Yeah, people say Castillo, it was close but Floyd won the first fight and made sure to bold that W with the 2nd one.

I don't care about Ali, SRR, Marciano, Louis, etc. I didn't grow up watching them, I wasn't there in front of the TV live with all the hype surrounding the fights, etc. I wasn't even born when they were in their primes. I'm sorry, but I can only look back at fights on Youtube for these guys and nod my respects for them. However, I didn't follow their lives nor the fights of their respective opponents.

Time is relevant to each individual. I laugh at "boxing fans" who immediately say Ali, SRR, Louis and can only name maybe 3 fights for each. SRR fans will only spew LaMotta over and over again. These 30 something year olds talk like historians nostalgically describing the fight as if they watched it live. Or some just spew stats and records with no clue on who they fought and how they reached those stats.

Say what you want. I don't mean to offend anyone and I'm sure I'll be called crazy but it's just how I feel.

I wish Robinson was still boxing. I htink Floyd underestimates the way SRR fought. SRR was a good guy and humble. Something Floys is yet to fully learn and comprehend:deal Floyd is entitled to his beliefs. Ali thought he was the greatest, but that didnt mean it was true did it? jut words leaking out of a man full to the brim with self belief I gue:deal:thumbsup:hatss.

    Are you actually being serious?

Ali's resume is awesome. He fought ALL comers. He is the greatest.
