I think Floyd is an ATG especially at 130 the guy is a tremendous boxer I became an instant fan with his win over Corrales but since he moved up its like he went into cruise control .

Are there ATG's for him to fight not really but he could have really added to his resume by facing a ton of fighters as opposed to facing some of the guys he's been facing .Most of the guys he faced as of late did absolutely nothing for his legacy .

I always maintained he was like a Ferrari racing Honda's .I personally didn't want to see a guy with that much talent in over matched sparring sessions ..This is why I guess he gets so much scrutiny ..George Foreman said it best he should be embarrassed fighting some of the guys he's fought with all that talent and to date I believe it to be true .

And as far as Pep I agree there is a double standard but Floyd isn't in his era and Pep is not in Floyd's so I think standards changed .Guys were fighting much more often back then ..

But if Floyd had been in their era, do you think he'd have fought those guys?

I can't blame Floyd for feeling this way. I wouldn't laugh at anyone who does consider him the greatest of all time especially if he defeats Pacquiao and retires undefeated. Floyd is a great boxer.... I don't consider him the greatest but the argument can surely be made... If you were Floyd had faced all the adversity he has and always come out on top don't you think you'd believe you were the greatest perhaps you might not go out and say it. I respect the man for speaking his mind though nothing wrong with being proud of you're own success.

    Nobody is arguing with that.

But why use the term 'brainwashed' and criticise Ali for his performance in the 'Jungle'?

It's a complete lack of respect.

Floyd's total lack of respect for his predecessors is what rubs most the wrong way. Also there were many fights that could have bolstered his resume. Starting with a victory over a prime pacquiao 4-5 years ago, prime undefeated Paul Williams, Sergio Martinez @ 154,or Antonio Margarito. There were many fights for him that would have trumped his most recent victories. e.g. Marquez, Ortiz, Guerrero, Canelo, Maidana 2x for a fighter of his skill these guys as opponents is borderline pathetic.

People always comment on the Zaire fight and they haven't watched it anyway.

Ali took some hard shots, mainly to the body, but he was landing most of the clean ones anyway. It wasn't only after Foreman tired, he was landing them as soon as he went to the ropes.

Ali schooled Foreman for much of the fight and made him look like a sloppy, dumb amateur.

Liston, Foreman, and Frazier are 3 of the greatest heavyweights that ever lived and Ali beat them all. Floyd beat some good fighters, but the only great ones were smaller than him, Pacquiao and Marquez, and then the shameless ******* STILL puts up certain conditions in order to fight him, knowing he already he has all the advantages. He lost to Castillo too. If he thinks he's as great as Manos de Piedra who started at around the same weight division as Floyd 126-130, Floyd should move up to fight GGG. He beats GGG, like Duran beat prime Barkley, THEN Floyd can say he's even in the same group as Ali, Robinson, or Duran. All these people Floyd fought Duran or Robinson destroy them.
