Doesn't deal with pressure well, just not a good style match up for him.

37 years old, slipping, multiple real life issues

He's losing a lot of steps, still winning

He is skilled, it's just styles make fights.

Pac had issues with Marquez, and style make fights, Mayweather with Maidana.

Why do you think he has ducked Pacquiao since 2009? It's clear that fight would be very competitive and I give the edge to Pac. Maidana was forced from even wearing his gloves.

I'd like to give him more credit but maidana was wearing pillow gloves...

Whatever. He just doesn't do well against pressure fighters that's why he ducked pacquiao. A flat footed fighter like maidana should have won.

The first fight in a long time where he has not just dominated from start to finish, and all of a sudden he isn't as good as you thought he was? I would say that comes from unrealistic expectations; he is a excellent boxer but he isn't superhuman.

Plenty of fighters have tried 'pressure' with him, but maidanas awkward punch angles were what made the fight close, combined with that pressure.

Great fight tonight, I had mayweather by 2 rounds :bbb

Lets have a bit of perspective here. People are getting too excited because someone managed to land more on Floyd and pressure him like we haven't seen in a long time but come on. He adjusted superbly, as well as having a cut, with a guy who was going to make it an ugly fight. It's hard to look good against someone who is going to fight like that. He is very skilled.

This is how you fight a boxer. You pressure the hell out of him. Alvarez had lousy stamina and mediocre ring IQ, that's why he had no chance.

Floyd would have gone through hell if he fought Margarito in his prime.

It's always been the way to beat him. Floyd's among the best of his generation, sure, but when comparing him across generations against some of the great skilled pressure fighters of the past, there will always be doubts and big question marks as to how he might have faired.

Pressure wasn't it...it was the fact that Maidana threw awkard shots making it hard to counter
