Yet Cotto is the one who rejected Canelo's offer to fight him twice last year

he didn't want to fight Canelo in september and picked Trout in december

it seems Cotto was finally willing to fight Canelo after Trout, though

but we know how that ended

Canelo will beat Cotto just like he did to his daddy if this fight happens

The fact that Floyd has fought ANYONE at 154lbs and not made them come down to a catchweight shows how good he is and willing to take chances. His most natural weight would be 140lbs, how the hell can he be ducking a guy 2 weightclasses above him.

It's absurd the standards Floyd is held to, as opposed to other fighters.

That might be debatable. Also, part of the legend of Floyd that if he wasn't constantly cramming calories into his face that he would still be a making 135 comfortably.

Hell, for the JMM fight he came in over the contracted weight limit. I don't think it makes a difference how that fight plays out, but if he was truly a natural JWW than you think making the 144 limit wouldn't be a problem for him. And that was, what? Two years ago?

Floyd has grown into a natural welter. Yeah, he's not the biggest welterweight of all time, but it's not like he's a blown up feather still at this point.

    Actually, the toughest fight out there is The Maravilla, even considering his age etc.;
Alvarez is still immature, his chin has not developed yet, and his skillset is still a work in progress, not stable.
    He would be tough, too.

Didn't you watch Maravilla's last fight? toughest fight my ass, the guy is finished, looked like dog **** against a handpicked tomato can. Floyd would dominate him without breaking a sweat

Sergio is done, the Chavez fight and the surgery did him in. A fight with Mayweather would be meaningless now

well lets just see if canelo calls out Floyd before we start making presumptions.

I don't think gbp and canelo want anything to do with Floyd mayweather right now

Floyd vs alvarez will most likely be next may they'll want to do a big promotion for the fight both fight again in september mayweather vs alexander and alvarez vs cotto imo then have the fight on the next cinco de mayo .
Mayweather guerrero suppossidly did under a million ppv buys, 4 months isn't long enough to promote arguably the biggest fight that can be made in boxing at the moment

I think Floyd will fight Canelo but not yet ..he wont be next he will be May 2014.floyd will take an easier fight in Sept I dont know the ins and outs of his Showtime deal but isnt he guaranteed a certain purse for each fight?

If so he is likely racking up the fights mixing them so its prob 3 easy fights and 3 acceptable ones for the fans I think thats why he put Alexanders name out there test the waters. He will beat Canelo he wont even get his gloves on him in my opinion
