People are matching Thomas Hearns up with Floyd Mayweather and Mike McCallum this week. What about Floyd moving up who is the 2012 Floyd vs. the Mike McCallum who fought Donald Curry?

Mike's too much for Floyd. Curry likely would've been also, at welter or that version at light middle. No shame in that.

McCallum's too big and too good, Hearns and McCallum are bad match ups for anyone 154 and down

MAyweather can beat decent to good 154-pound fighters, but not the head-to-head monsters. Maybe against a huge limited puncher like Julian Jackson. I think he could actually pull that off. In fact, I'll go make that thread. Curious as to other opinions.

This wouldn't be a prime for prime matchup. McCallum was nearing his peak around that time, while Floyd Mayweather in 2012 is 35.

McCallum's advantages in size , power , durability help him take over and stop Floyd . He would have been more aggressive than ever withnessed if Floyd agreed 2 step in2 d ring with him .
He stopped Watson , Curry , Jackson & McCrory but ppl xpect Floyd 2 last d distance with him . Floyd would have had nothing 2 keep him away with . McCallum could have looked like Hearns against him . Not a huge difference in height and not in weight , they would have even been similar in age but McCallum stopped much bigger , stronger and harder hitting men whom may have had a lesser defense but a much better offense . If Michael Watson 4 all of his size , power and youth advantages over McCallum got 2d point of being unable 2 defend himself , d same would happen 2 Floyd .

McCallum can win this with his jab alone,
