The bottom line is that no one can deny that Floyd never faced an opponent in his prime. And that is a fact. :deal

I'm not defending him, I'd LOVE for him to fight Thurman and already said I'm disappointed. What bothers me is the hypocrisy, inconsistency, and double standards.

Take IsaL, for example, it's clear as day he disapproves of Mayweather. Wonder why I never argue with him? Because he's consistent!

 

Thurman is not that fast, and he's too green. He lacks the ring IQ.

 

#48 was never a better athlete than PBF it showed when they fought and it would have been no different back in their prime. PBF has better reflexes than #48 he would always be able to beat him to the punch and out maneuver him around the ring controlling distance.
Thurman is no where as good as an athlete as this version of PBF and damn sure not the prime version. That's not even up for deabte.

 

I'd love to watch a prime Floyd vs Thurman, that'd be a clinic.

 

I posted this in another thread but people forget how good the prime version of Floyd was. Back then his reflexes and hand speed were even better. Plus he would actually sit on his punches back then and try to get his opponent out of there in the later rounds. He was much more aggressive on offense back then. It would be an absolute clinic.

 

I'd love to see Floyd against an opponent in his prime.

Chavez: common...he fought no one before Mayweather
JLC: we saw what happened in the first fight...
Hatton: fought him at 147 where Hatton almost got knocked out by Collazo
Canelo: was not ready to take on Mayweather. Too green.
Cotto: already got brutalized by a prime pac.
Zab: was already past his prime and found a way to stun Mayweather. We can argue if it was a knock down or not.

I wonder now who's the starter or the blind one here. Nuthugger.

 

Let's work here... you said he hadn't fought anyone in their prime. Castillo was in his prime, no matter what happened. And what I highlighted, isn't that where Thurman is at right now? People were banking on Canelo's youth and physical qualities to beat Floyd, which is exactly what they're banking on with Thurman. Discounting the fact that these guys lack the experience. Cotto being "brutalized" had no effect on Mayweather's fight with him but if you're considering that, doesn't the same thing apply to Pac's victory over him? That he was already brutalized by Margarito? And Zab was not passed his prime, c'mon. He did not stun Mayweather but he did indeed score a knockdown.

He may be blind or a nuthugger, but everything you said makes you sound like a hater.

 

And what great fighter(s) was trying to fight Floyd during his prime? As far as I can tell, Floyd was the most ducked fighter in boxing! But I'll assume you only recently started watching boxing,you wouldn't know anything pre Pacquiao.
