I'm seeing alot **edit** OF PEOPLE POSTING **edit**about Floyd desperately trying to repair his image with the scenes with his daughter, him going and talking with the kids and giving food to homeless. They are definitely trying to make him look like less of a villain in this 24/7 series then the Oscar and Hatton ones, but does that necessarily mean he is faking now, or does it mean he was faking in the other ones. I think Oscar and Hatton had such a following that there was no way Floyd would EVER be the good guy while fighting them. So the best thing to do, promotion wise, was to make him the bad guy. Now though, we don't have that cult following with Marquez reallly, and for this promotion, the best thing to do is to make peoplle like floyd. All promotion, stop hating on Floyd :deal
It also gives you a good look at how easily they can manipulate these guys image. Make him out to be a hero in one and a villain in another.
Floyd is defo a good guy, you can see it. But it don't help when you give homeless peep's a bag lunch then brag about Lambo's & RR's.. Danm! At least hook-it-up with a hot meal...lol (That said, dude did more than I did so prop's go out to PBF)
Floyd has done charitable work over the years, and this isn't just a one-off publicity stunt. I think, to an extent, PBF has enjoyed playing that bad-boy when it doesn't really suit his image. He does care about his family. He is a hard worker who can get down and dirty when a fight requires it. He doesn't genuinely hate his opponents. He thinks it's a promotional advantage to act like he's an *******, and he thinks it suits his playboy image so he does. Now, he's probably feeling a little uncomfortable with all the hate he's getting, and is partially showing off and partially just letting people see his "nice" side.
I think Floyd has always been a bit false, when i met him he certainly appeared that way. I think the break he had from boxing helped him find himself as he has been boxing non stop since the age of god knows when! I never liked him before, but I'm tolerant and understanding of him now. I have the feeling his next fight, despite what people say about it is going to be a great fight! I think we'll see something from both fighters we never have before. Just a feeling.
In the end, I think Floyd is just a bit of a showman. He'll do what he thinks he needs to do to sell the fight and himself. I never really believed his bad boy persona but I do personally think he's a naturally cocky guy. My guess is his real personality is somewhere between the villain and the good guy.
PBF is a top bloke ! yeah hes flashy and big headed but he has the talent to back up his mouth .... theres nothing false with this guy ! he knows hes good and yes he is very good .... Look at his CV and it backs up his mouth perfectly ....
In the past he has tried to hard to portray an image for people.... by the way he needs to improve his MC skills if he is to fulfill his dream of becoming a WWE superstar.
I THINK THAT mayweather is growing out of that villian bull**** and wants people to see more of his real side.
Maybe Mayweather ran over some of the older episodes and decided that he looked foolish. Then opted to try for a new image.
He's a strange guy, a total sea saw of a character. He'll switch between a good guy and a bad guy....watch his interviews with ESPN in comparison with his interviews with SkySports. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bXdXdeOinUE http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IeAe41A8pj4&feature=related I think the real deal is this....he'll only be a nice guy when he needs to be, when there's something to be gained. I think he envies the type of following Hatton and Pacquiao have, and he's finally realising how them two have achieved it. He'll be nice (eg SkySports interviews)....but the moment he is questioned or opposed, the bad guy comes out, and he'll be a right ****. So naturally I think he's an ******* to people who don't mean anything to him (outside his friends and family).
