Floyd once again ruins his own legacy...

Some of you guys dickride Mayweather more than his own fans. Cotto last night did something Mayweather has already done this is the first time Cotto has been Lineal or technically the man in any weight Mayweather is the man in boxing and in two divisions at the same time currently. I root for Martinez over Cotto but Cotto is a HOFer and arguably an ATG Martinez is simply a good fighter in this era Mayweather-Cotto II is historically a bigger fight than Mayweather-Martinez

Cotto has a bigger bone structure then Floyd, so he can distribute the weight a lot better then Floyd would be able to at that weight.

 

its a bit brash but you have a good point. cotto fights ANY and EVERYBODY thats what i love about him and most the time he comes out on top. we didnt know wich martinez was coming in that right last night that was the risk. but ofcourse imagine if Money would have taken the martinez fight right after the JCCJr win, that wouldve been BIG for Money May.

 

Ages ago, Martinez wouldn't have been as past it as he is today. I do agree that he should have considered Martinez over Maidana but obviously he didn't want to take the big risk and went for Maidana who proved to be far better than expected.

It was a missed opportunity, for Floyd. But, it in no way changed his legacy. He will still rate higher than Cotto, and everyone else in his class.

Cotto to his credit, stepped up, and took a calculated risk that paid off for him. He has the frame to carry the weight and his speed and power came up with him. Martinez is basically shot, and his body failed him. But, Cotto executed the perfect gameplan, perfectly. Props to him.

 

If those fights couldn't have been made, should he had fought no one?
