Boxers and defensive boxers always gave Duran hell man. Who do you think you're fooling? Duran could be outboxed and on occasion even out fought.

    So ?
Mayweather has a more padded record. His career was very well managed....Floyd wasn´t fighting against guys like Marcel with only 15 fights like Duran did.....

De Jesus had the ability to beat Floyd when Floyd was in his LW days btw......Castillo almost did it, and Castillo isn´t half as good De Jesus was......

He did have better D. I explained why already. An no he wasnt faster. The question was who had more skill wasnt it? I gave my two cents im done arguin with kids. You watch floyds skills against the ortiz an cottos of todays boxing world an have fun with it. Floyd is great But Duran had far more skills. An ive never been a big fan of Duran actually. Been a floyd fan since the 90s. But im outta here

Mayweather was injured and it was his first fight at the weight, the 2nd fight wasnt close. And Castillo was a helluva fighter.

Mayweather fought Genaro Hernandez at 21 years old, a man who hadnt lost a fight at 130lbs his entire career, and was on even grounds with Oscar De La Hoya before Oscar broke his nose and he quit. :patsch

****ing well managed facing Genaro Hernandez and Diego Corrales before you're 23 years old.

Floyd was an olympic fighter......he had enough experience already, is not only about age...
And Genaro Hernandez wasn´t as good as Marcel......Marcel is arguably one of the most skilled fighters ever......

Like I said, only one God boxer and that was Ray Robinson. Who was truly immaculate against every style.

I'd say Roy Jones Jr is a demigod given he was the most talented athlete I've ever seen. Athlete btw, not boxer. Athlete.

Who is Mayweather's closest rival this era in terms of skill? Juan Manuel Marquez I think everyone will concur?

Well how'd that fight turn out?

Keep in mind Mayweather was coming off a 2 year layoff, and 2 years later Marquez beat Pacquiao's ass.

    Jab- Duran
    Hook- Duran
    Cross- Duran
    Uppercut- Duran
    Defensive skills- Mawyeather
    Offensive skills- Duran
    Footwork- Close
Counter-Punches- Duran, Floyd is great on this too IMO...
    Power- Duran
    Speed- Mayweather
    Ring Generalship- Close
    Combinations- Duran
    Feints- Duran
    Accuracy- Duran
    Timing- Duran
    Killer Instinct- Duran
    Body Punches- Duran
    Upper Body movement- Duran
Chin- Duran.....Floyd isn´t tested on this too much.....hard to say.
Heart- Okay, this is close because of what happened in Duran vs SRL II....
    Stamina- Duran
    In-Fighting- Duran
    Range Fighting- Duran

Opposition level- Duran beat better fighters ...and has the best win ever IMO against Leonard in Montreal, since he was a past prime LW facing a ATG WW in his prime....

    Also:

    Duran - better longevity
    Duran dominated his LW era...

Debatable. Im showing you Duran's limitations however. And Benitez didnt box and clown like Leonard. Stood right in front of Duran and Duran fell for every feint, and looked horrible when he did get inside.

Benitez was bigger, had a better offense, Yes he would stand right there an make you miss. Floyd wouldnt have done that.
