Whoever is more skilled is debatable, Floyd certainly is defensively, but Duran is a better fighter. He's proven that, and that's all that really matters.

Why does one have to choose? Both are two of the most skilled ever. Leave it at that.

Are KO's a factor ? I mean you have to be pretty good to be referred to as hands of stone and deliver on that name .

Mayweather is more talented, a better technician, more athletic.

Mayweather is a pure boxer, as pure as they come.

Duran was an aggressive offensive monster with decent boxing skills.

I don;t know who would win in a dream match up, but I do know may has more skill

    Haha, respect...

Nice avatar. Were you amongst those that ate nonstop **** and were insulted heavily from a few posters who eased way up on their post totals and never revisited their threads since the fight? Cause that was my experience when I expressed myself to apparently either the Hopkins fan or Dawson hate club.

It depends what you're looking for.C.Ronaldo has immense skills but he'll never be better than Maradona, despite having more "skill".
If you are a true boxing fan looking for the best use of boxing intelligence and tools to get the job done,Duran can stand alongside anyone and above most.Add to that the element of fear he brought to the lightweight division then although I have said before that I think Floyd has a style to give Cholo a tough fight, primetime Duran would always be the bookies favourite if they were matched up.
What would you rather be? Bookies don't make favourites based on "most skills"

The quality of opponents back then was much better than todays. Would floyd be undefeated if he fought durans resume?I know duran would be 44-0(pac included)if he went through floyds resume.:good

    This again ?

Duran is more skilled overall, is the greater fighter career wise & would put an ass whippin on floyd prime v prime.

    End thread.

Floyd isn't even the most skilled of the last 15 years. One example is James Toney had more skill than Floyd. Floyd has the work ethic though. An Duran had even more to his game than James Toney. Duran had a great Defense and great offense. This is my opinion though
